I snapped a funny picture Saturday on the beach at Santa Monica, CA, as two police officers cruising the beach in their ATV's stopped to chat with two ocean-bound bikini clad women. Our tax dollars at work! Only later as I looked at the photo did I notice that one of the officers saw me taking the picture and appears to be glaring at the camera. Hee Hee! Yes. It's true. Next Friday, August 17, a group of Dallas women will sit proud in front of an audience and read passages from their favorite stories, completely in the nude. It's a literary trend appropriately titled Naked Girls Reading, and now, after a two year hiatus, it's returned to Dallas. The concept was hatched in Chicago by a couple of burlesque performers. In their latest "doodle" image, Google has portrayed a black man walking on a strip of watermelon. In sync with the Olympic Games, the google image above the search box features an athlete walking down a race track and getting ready to start a race. The track is obviously watermelon, with green rind, red pulp and dark seeds. Upon closer examination, there also appears to be marijuana plants lining the outside of the track every few feet. Although they do not include an actual Olympic logo, it's obvious that the image is timed to correspond to the 2012 Olympic games, currently taking place in London. A crazed beaver attacked two girls as they swam in a lake at a popular beauty spot leaving them with serious injuries. Eight-year-old Annabella Radnovich and her 11-year-old sister, Alyssa, were playing with their cousins at Lake Anna in Virginia's Spotsylvania County when the 65 pound animal bit and scratched their legs.
