A Mass Revenge Killing
Post Date: 2011-07-29 12:07:08 by Turtle

In some very important fundamental ways I do not think people are all that hard to understand. Why they murder, for one. I do not have to read Anders Breivik’s 1500-page manifesto. I’m not going to, either, not with that length. I don’t need to read it, for that matter. People murder for one reason: revenge. Revenge is an attempt to replace feelings of shame and humiliation with feelings of pride and self-respect. It is primitive, destructive and violent but historically it’s been the main response to perceived injuries. The first recorded murder in Western mythology is when Cain slew Abel. Why? Because God rejected Cain’s sacrifice and accepted Abel’s. ...

"One Cold-Blooded European Killer"

A few random observations: - This evil bastard is one cold-blooded, rational Northern European. I'm reminded of an underlying tragic theme of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings that stems from Tolkien's combat experience on the Somme in the Great War: all of this Northern European efficiency can go terribly wrong when it turns to organized killing, at which Northern Europeans are the champs. This terrorist is the kind of rationalist who estimates the probability of failure of the various steps in his planning, like a 30% chance of getting caught while buying fertilizer to make his bomb. (It's a good thing that Finnish sniper Simho Hayha who killed, one at a time, 505 armed ...

Why they WON'T cut Gov't Spending

I've been watching for a post that simplifies that topic. Haven't seen it so far. I hope some will chip in and give their ideas. Here's mine: The Dems won't offer ANY Spending Cuts because it will radically increase UnEmployment Number, with no possibility of alternate jobs available for unemployable government "people". The Repubs are offering good serious program cuts, which will increase the UnEmployment radically while Obama is in. And the Dems Know it. We all know there has been substantial gov't employment increase under both Bush AND Obama. It was compensation for off-shoring.

Open Borders are Not Free Market

I’ve never been able to come up with a completely satisfactory definition of “the free market.” It’s always been eluded me. I don’t think I will ever go able to come up with one that satisfies me. It is a fact, and not an opinion, that the map is not the terrain. All theories are convenient fictions used to describe reality, but none are reality itself. It isn’t a problem for me for that being unable to formulate a comprehensive theory to describe everything is impossible. To understand everything is, theologically, to know the mind of God, which is beyond human abilities. The closer the theory describes reality, the better it works. But no theory will ...

Vibrancy in Norway

An explosion in Oslo: 6.01pm: John Magnus, chief foreign correspondent of Oslo's VG newspaper, told the Guardian he was sitting at his desk when the massive explosion in central Oslo today blew him off his chair. It was 3.26 in the afternoon. The whole building was shaking. It was dancing. There was glass flying through the newsroom. I was on the far side of the building from where the prime minister's office is. The entire glass front of our building has been blown out ... I saw people screaming and covered in blood. There were at least four people I saw who looked lifeless with their faces covered. We've had it confirmed that two people are dead but there are other ...

14-Year-Old Kills Transvestite Who Made Sexual Advances (My Title)
Post Date: 2011-07-22 14:25:25 by Turtle

At age 14 Brandon McInerney fatally shot Larry King, age 15 and a fellow student at his high school. The victim was a gay cross dresser who wore high-heeled boots, makeup and jewelry to school, and had made a series of public sexual advances toward McInerney. McInerney, who is not gay and had a girlfriend, took offense at King’s continuing sexual harassment. According to the defense attorney, the killing was motivated by McInerney’s “inability to deal with the humiliation of having an openly gay boy flirt with him at school,” which seems reasonable enough. But the prosecution claims that the murder was a hate crime, solely on the basis that McInerney had associations ...

The brilliance of U.S. strategery (ironic title)

Jim Lacey on the death of U.S. military strategy: I teach strategy to Marines and other military officers for a living. The classes hear ad nauseam that if your plan does not include any directions as to how to carry it out, and how to obtain resources for it, then you do not have a strategy. You have an aspiration. The NMS has a lot of aspirations. There are several dozen of them in the first few pages alone. One has to wade through eight pages of aspirations before coming to: “The core task of our Armed Forces remains to defend our Nation and win its wars.” Wow! I would have led with that one. Military strategists might wonder why the authors of the NMS made them wade through ...

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded – here and there, now and then – are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck." – Robert Heinlein, "Time Enough For Love" It was astonishing to read of Republican Sen. John McCain's recent radio attack on Barack Obama. Displaying an energy and vehemence that he somehow ...

Winning the War Against Men Part 1
Post Date: 2011-07-14 12:32:23 by Turtle

There is a relentless war being waged against American men that literally spans the entire extent of their lives. From the womb, in which a woman's "right" to abort a male baby for being male is defended but a similar right to abort a female baby for being female is vehemently opposed, to the grave, wherein the disparate impact of old age is ignored despite women living 5.2 years longer than men on the average, men are systematically, structurally and unstintingly under assault. Most men understand this on some level, but like the nice dependable man who can't figure out why attractive women repeatedly reject him in favor of unemployed losers with criminal records, ...

My Goddamn Stupid Scots-Irish Cannon-Fodder Ancestors

"Some folks are born made to wave the flag, Ooh, they're red, white and blue. And when the band plays hail to the chief, Ooh, they point the cannon at you, lord." "Fortunate Son," Creedence Clearwater Revival I'm three-quarters Scots-Irish, out of Tennessee and Kentucky and the Missouri Ozarks. The other quarter is German and some Cherokee. I am very familiar with low-class Scots-Irish culture, having been raised in it. I was hanging out in bars by the time I was 15. I knew girls who were having sex at 15, 14, 13. I know about the sex and drugs and rock 'n' roll. I know about the anti-intellectualism, the obsession with sports, the misguided ...

I have a great deal of respect for Roissy, the various contributors at the Chateau, and many of the other theoreticians and practitioners of Game. However, I think the stark division of men into successful alphas and unsuccessful betas is too simplistic and reflects an artificial limitation on the broad applicability of Game beyond the sexual imperative. The inutility of the binary division should be obvious, since even those who subscribe to it tend to subdivide the categories into Greater and Lesser Alphas and High and Low Betas, while some also add the Omega category. When we examine any conventional human social circle, we reliably observe a broader range of distinctly identifiable ...

Discovering True Law
Post Date: 2011-07-01 12:44:47 by Turtle

It is unfortunate there has to be a distinction between “true law” and “false law.” True law is discovered; false law is made up. No one trained in any hard science believes law can be made up. None of them will tell you that you can take cyanide without harm, or jump out of an airplane without a parachute. That’s because they know law is discovered. The same thing applies to economics, political science and law (all of which are inextricably related). All of them are composed of true laws, some of which have been discovered, some of which still have to be discovered. I define the State as being nothing but false laws. And the State being nothing but false laws ...

•This is a rather interesting interview of Richard Maybury by the DailyBell. It highlights what I have been saying about a coming global currency crisis and the return to asset backed (gold backed) currencies. Richard Maybury on the Collapse of the Anglo-American Empire and What It Means for You Introduction: The former Global Affairs editor of MONEYWORLD, Richard Maybury is one of the most respected business and economics analysts in America. Once upon a time, not so long ago, there was a large, peaceful, free, very prosperous village. One day, a horde of quite brutal and even smellier barbarians rode into the village, stole some of the girls and gold, and otherwise made merry by killing and destroying, then rode away. The villagers fought back, only not that well, and did kill some of the barbarians, but lost more than they slew. After the attack, battered and bruised and bleeding and wondering how to meet this new menace, the villagers held a meeting and asked for suggestions. The Wise Old Man of the village, who was pretty smart, and had traveled far and wide, and thought a lot and learned much, made one suggestion: ...

Turtle Catches Two Mice

I've never had mice before, but a few days ago two or three decided to come live in the house. I put out those sticky traps, caught two, and they looked so pathetic all glued down and squeaking and trying to pull free I took the outside, pulled them free, held them up and told them, "If you come back, next time I WILL kill you" and set them free. I doubt they understand English, though.

gun v blaster

Ok I was tootling around Target down in Fresno today when I was horrified by what I overheard from a woman. I was horrified not because of what I heard but what it represented, how the anti gun propaganda has been successful. She was shopping with a couple of kids, presumably hers, and the young boy asked if they could get water guns. She said she didn't like that word so they were going to call them water blasters. I don't know about you but blasting, blowing things up, seems much more violent than guns. Why the objection to the word gun? I'll bet she also believes in government control and protection.

How to Prevent Yourself from Being Brainwashed

Since it is the nature of people to understand stories more easily than most anything else, I will tell one. Let's call it a fairytale. Once upon a time, not so long ago and not so far away, there was a large, prosperous village than unfortunately had an idiot for a king. Unfortunately, his advisors were idiots, too. Down the road a bit was another village, one that was tiny and poor and not a threat at all to our large, prosperous village. Somehow, the Idiot King, along with his idiot advisors, got it in their heads the poor, tiny village had a insane homicidal maniac for a king. Along with that, many of the people in the village were also supposed to be insane homicidal maniacs. ...

Glenn DRECK trying to keep getting money from his FAUX News audience with Internet TV subscription service

I just found out what Glenn DRECK is cooking up after he leaves FAUX News. It seems that he is setting up an Internet TV subscription service to be called GBTV to cost about 50 dollars a year in the standard version and 100 dollars a year on the premium version. It seems that this is the rout that Glenn is taking to wrangle money from what is left of his addicted FAUX audience. I see this as another failure for Glenn as he is simply not revealing enough about the elite "Progressive" movement to be of interest to anyone anymore and has simply made himself into a maudlin pseudo televangelist with a "grin and bear it" doom and gloom message bearing NO REAL SOLUTIONS to the ...

We did this to ourselves. We the people, did this to ourselves. WE, WE and nobody else, did this to ourselves. I'm sure that all of us who thought in 2000, when Bush II got elected, that our country would head in a positive direction. Little did we know that during the Clinton Administration, the stage was set for an economic collapse, one of which conveniently took place on 9-11, with the ENRON scandal and others. During the course of 8 years, our dollar was devalued, corporations went bankrupt, got bailouts, and the tax payer had the debt to pay. In 2008, the beginning volleys of collapse started taking place, and we started to see huge problems with Goldman And Sachs, AIG, ...
