A Turtle Taxi Tale
Post Date: 2010-04-07 12:05:22 by Turtle

Driving a taxi was the most interesting job I had. I might still be doing it except the influx of Third Worlders has depressed the wages so much you now have to work 60 hours a week and live in two-bedroom apartment with three other people just to make ends meet. And it used to be a middle-class job. For a while I owned a few taxis that I rented to other drivers. I used to buy them from a guy, Ervin, who owned an airport cab company. His real last name was Stern, but he had changed it and named himself after the ship that brought him and his family from Hungary after WWII. His father was one of those “Holocaust” survivors. He had been a tank mechanic who had kept escaping to see ...

James 1 (King James Version) James 1 1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any ...

How the Women's Movement Taught Women to Hate Men

We were sitting around a coffee table in my house, in Goldhawk Road, Hammersmith in London listening to a bossy woman wearing National Health round glasses and a long Indian skirt. She smelled of incense and too few baths. We were all nursing large gin and tonics which was the staple drink in the Women's Lib. Goldhawk Road weekly meetings. We were trying to follow her convoluted explanations about our 'role in society.' As far as I knew, I had a very simple role in society. I had always wanted to have lots of children, be happily married, and free to tend my house and garden and cook three course meals for my husband. 'What could possibly be wrong with that I asked?' ...

About Men

About Men If you will forgive my generalizations, I’d like to have a conversation about men. I find men to be wonderful creatures. Ingenious and creative, they never cease to fascinate me. Since the advent of the nature v nurture argument, there has been this push to make men more like women. They are urged to “get in touch” with their feelings, to think before they speak and to be kind and gentle towards all. This is especially true in the school system. Sadly this denies them everything that makes them men and you boys don’t even have the serotonin levels necessary for such behavior. And who says men aren’t in touch with their feelings anyway? Men are expected ...

I was moved by PCR's final column to send him the following via e-mail: Mr. Roberts, You conclude what may be your final column with these words: “As the pen is censored and its might extinguished, I am signing off.” I question your premise. In the age of the Internet, your words cannot be censored. Yes, the establishment and their servile corporate media ignore you, as they ignore anyone who dares to speak truth about our now openly criminal government. But their former stranglehold on the minds of America has been broken. Their disfavor can no longer deny you your readership and influence. These thoroughly discredited institutions are now in their death throws. They are ...

The good news is is that Sue is at the great dentist right now getting excellent service for 28USD. I had my teeth cleaned by Dr Martha yesterday (she might be twenty four yo) and as of now she is my dentist. To have a specialist endodontist clean your teeth is a proposition you will not likely have in the US She is an endodontist, or a root canal specialist, and does a normal RC for $1500MP - we paid $2500MP in Vallarta for Treys - we waz robbed!!!! This place is soooo nice, and the ranch cabin we have is really too good to believe, outrageous really. Sue and I are Mexican Rancheros for a few days. I could get used to this without much trouble at all. This morning we heard a tap at ...

Bunch of weddings in Ajijic this weekend and we could not get a room from Thursday on. The owner of the hotel we are at, Sergio, God bless him, came to us and said he was sorry not to have a room, but he did have a cabin in the mountains, he had built for his mothers vacation place, at his ranch in Ixlahuacan that he could let us use, along with his Chevy Blazer to get around in. So, Sue and I are now occupying a small, beautifull kept, fruit ranch ( I see no cows)on a couple or four acres of land outside of this small, Kool as all get out, little town maybe ten miles from Ajijic. We even have a cupala - one of those little cathedrals set on top of the house for light and just because, I ...

Just bot a Liter of Fresh Pomigranite Juice in Ajijic

Bot a liter of Pom juice from a eighty yo indian lady, who was sweet and kinda onery a few hours ago in this town on the northern edge of Mexico´s largest lake, Chapala. We chilled it down, I went off to buy a bottle of 100% aguave tequlia (do NOT drink anything but)and made a drink of the Pom juice, tequlia and a hunking shot of lime juice from fresh limes, natch, and a few strawberries and a cube of ice. I am sucking the strawberries as I peck, and it is a pretty wonderful concoction. O - the cost of the liter of Pom juice, slightly fermented, was $350 pesos, or $USD2.80. The 750 ml of 100% aguave tequlia was $95mn or $USD 7.80. Might last a few days, at least if Sue has her ...

Is There A Good Program To Extract Pictures From Videos?

Just curious. I want to extract a picture from a youtube video I posted. It is the wannabe black "thug" who got "beat down by a 150-year-old white guy" (according to another black guy, David Spates, who commented on it and did so honestly--well, the part about Vietnam Tom being 150 is not real of course but that was poetic license I suppose). Anyway, the picture I want to extract is where said would-be thug is sitting on the bench and it is captioned something like Da Amba Lamps Bring It. Some funny stuff.

Catalog of Anti-Male Shaming Tactics
Post Date: 2010-03-01 16:33:16 by Turtle

` “Shaming tactics.” This phrase is familiar to many Men’s Rights Activists. It conjures up the histrionic behavior of female detractors who refuse to argue their points with logic. Yet women are not the only ones guilty of using shaming tactics against men. Male gynocentrists use them, too. Shaming tactics are emotional devices meant to play on a man’s insecurities and shut down debate. They are meant to elicit sympathy for women and to demonize men who ask hard questions. Most, if not all, shaming tactics are basically ad homimem attacks. Anyway, it might be helpful to categorize the major shaming tactics that are used against men whenever a discussion arises about ...

I was in a local restaurant yesterday and had ONE beer with some pizza. As I left, some church lady type hag says to me, "you aren't going to drive home after drinking, are you." She then tells me she is going to write down my license plate number "in case something happens." I just give her a look like, "are you frickin kidding me"? Yeah, there are stupid men, but no man could be that much of a busy body, pseudo- do-gooder moron.

If you've seen the rap video that the folks at SNL made, called "On A Boat" which is a parody of most rap videos, you probably had a chuckle. After some thinking, I decided to amend the lyrics so that it would be accurate to describe our politicians and our sorry assed leadership in this country. Warning, Lots of Profanity. "They're On The Dole." Sung to the tune of "On A Boat. Oh Shit... Get your Wallets Ready It's About To Go Down.... Everybody in Congress, Pack Up Your Fucking Shit. And Stay Out Of Our Fucking Business.... We're Movin', Let's Go. They're On The Dole, They're On The Dole. Everybody look at them, Cause ...

Last night, after waiting about 3 months, we decided we were going to dump out a batch of Root Beer we had thought was a dud. Typically, you brew it, wait 3 weeks, and it's ready to drink. Well, at the 3 week mark, it was flat, and crappy. At the 6 week mark, flat and crappy. Well, I got around to getting things read to do another batch and was going to empty the bottles we had, and opened one. Lots and lots of carbonation, and a very nice smell. Meaning that the yeast had been used up and died like it should have. Decided to pour a glass. Well... here's where the interesting thing happens. We used Vintner's yeast for the carbonation. There's something significantly ...

Inmate: Roman Polanski gets special treatment in Swiss jail

Roman Polanski has been getting the star treatment behind bars. The filmmaker, 76, was allowed regular calls to his wife, French actress Emmanuelle Seigner, and his attorneys, according to Yussi Akram, an inmate who served time with Polanski. Prison guards also kept the "Rosemary's Baby" director away from other inmates, Akram told Zurich’s Radio One. Polanski's cell phone was equipped with an emergency button to summon guards, The Los Angeles Times reports. But, according to The Associated Press, Polanski is just getting the same rights as any extradition detainee, a group who are afforded more privileges than prisoners who have committed crimes on Swiss soil. Director Janusz ...

An Interview with Michael Hoffman on the Fort Hood Shootings
Post Date: 2009-11-11 16:44:01 by bluegrass

Interviewer: Why have you termed it "Fort Hoodwink"? Hoffman: The masons have many occult sayings that have become part of our common parlance, such as: on the level; square deal, hoodwink, etc. In masonry a hoodwink is a synonym for the secrecy with which masonic rites are kept from the prying, unhallowed eyes of the "profane." Interviewer: What would you say is the most striking aspect of the Fort Hood shootings? Hoffman: There are so many anomalies, things that just don't add up, but rather than going into hypotheses that would be difficult for most people to follow, I'll focus on something glaring, which is -- the rush to judgment of Hasan -- the total ...
