Brightly wrapped packages, eggnog, turkey with all the trimmings, and gathering with family and friends. We all do things during the holiday season that we have come to look at as our own traditions. But how did some Christmas traditions come to be? www.socyberty.com/Holiday...nd-Where-They-Began.63403

Glen Beck was in town today, what a swingin' time that was. Beck and entourage arrived in two huge busses, amid a throng of well-healed admirers. There must have been at least twenty-five Ron Paul supporters on the scene as well, doing our civic duty and all. I went inside about twenty minutes after Beck arrived, could not believe the gigantic mass of humanity waiting in line to get their book autographed. I bought a 2008 Calendar with pictures of 60's Muscle Cars, and CD's from Deep Purple and Miles Davis. Since they had two busses, and since we were still hanging around out front, they decided to sneak Glen out the back. Didn't matter, we weren't going to change his ...

Osama’s Man in America

The following document was obtained by a small private intelligence company, located at a (secret) address in Chevy Chase, Maryland, that monitors Islamic terrorist groups. It followed a year-long surveillance operation that intercepted (secret) messages within a (secret) al-Qaeda communications network. Dr. Leon Hadar, a world-renowned terrorism connoisseur, who has written The Osama bin Laden I Don’t Know, translated this somewhat historic document, and it was authenticated by a panel of outside veteran amateurs, including retired analysts from the Office of Strategic Services. In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. From Abdullah men Amreeka (the Slave of God from ...

One Day in the Far North

Jim Robinson traveled to Alaska to find the roughest, toughest GOP shill in the North. The three top candidates stood before him. All had made thousands of pro-war posts. All three had successfully avoided all froms of military service. None had ever shown the slightest fear of sitting behind the keyboard and insulting those they disagreed wtih. Robinson was at a loss who to pick so he devised a test. He told the three that each was to go out into the Alaska night and shake hands with a grizzly bear and ravish an eskimo woman in the snow. The one who first completed both tasks would be the roughest shill in the North. The first to return was Byteshredder. He looked dejected and confessed ...

It was a little late for National Coming Out Day, but a huge revelation nonetheless: Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling revealed Friday night that one of her main characters, Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore, is gay. The Associated Press reports that during a Q&A session with audience members, a young fan asked if Dumbledore finds true love. "Dumbledore is gay," the author, 42, responded, prompting gasps and applause. Rowling said Dumbledore was infatuated with rival Gellert Grindelwald, who was later offed in a battle between the good and bad wizards. "Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore ...

Shame on the white liberals and black Africans who cheer on Mugabe

Shame on the white liberals and black Africans who cheer on Mugabe Rian Malan, The Spectator May 19, 2007 Johannesburg -- On the day that Bob Mugabe's genocidal regime acceded to the chair of the UN's Commission on Sustainable Development, I found myself in the lovely Cape village of Franschhoek, once a Boer farming town but now more French and precious than Provence. Even as bitter debate broke out in the distant UN, I was checking into a luxurious hostelry and trimming my nostril hairs in preparation for meeting such luminaries as Liz Calder, publisher of the Harry Potter books, and the glamorous American novelist Siri Hustvedt, author of Things I Loved. I had come to ...
