I'm surprised actually.

Goldi did get the donations. she's looking for a new host server to move it to.

Goldi is probably transferring the LP from one server to the new server.

lol...Not to worry. LPers are gathered at a differnt site temporarily until LP is back up. Last calculation said it could be less than a week.

Keep Stone busy, as he keeps trying to get himself banned here so he can badmouth more posters over there. He might have your friend Murron post another nasty thread maybe even about you.

Murron would not post a bad thread about me. She is a very good friend and I trust her with my life. Thanks for the concern.

He posts here all the time. He wants to send your children and grandchildren to the ME to fight 90% of the population so his religious beliefs will come to fruition.

Hey mininggold. I have two first rate posters here I also pinged that can tell you that I have consistently been against the war from before it started. I have never waivered. Get your facts straight please.

My children aren't old enough to go to war and I don't have any grandchildren yet. We got a ways to go before that happens.

Having a hard time giving a damn really.

I'm actually giving a lot of thought to bailing on internet political sites for a number of reasons but the primary one is that you never really know who you're talking to, nor do you know whose interests it serves for posting your opinions.

For all I know, and for anyone else really knows, all of the various political sites could be nothing more than control mechanisms to guide people to doing absolutely nothing about anything that's coming down the way. A means to take the fire out of people's souls by giving them a place to lament their loss of freedom, and do nothing about it.

It's easier to piss and moan on an internet forum than it is to call your congressmen, or senators, or protest in front of their offices.

I think it's why I'm done posting.

Better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not.

I've considered the same thing.

Yet so much of what I've learned has been either directly or indirectly from this forum and LP before I started posting here.

The exchange of ideas and being able to pass what we can learn here on to the rest of the world can't be discounted.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I think you've just defined the purpose of Talk Radio, not internet forums.

I hear ya. But I think that what TTMA is suggesting is that just like talk radio, sites like this keep people talking and not doing.

Of course the big thing is what does one actually do now?

That's certainly true, but I think it's because people have no idea what to do that makes these sites thrive.

For example, I vote for a proposition. It passes. The next day the other side finds a judge to slap an injunction on it while they try to overturn the election results. This happens in my state every single election, and most of the time the other side prevails against the people's vote.

So what are we supposed to do? As long as most people are comfortable, they'll just sit and take it.

As long as there's tv and beer, the only thing it will bring is obesity.
