These fine soldiers will be coming home soon.
Get prepared... fellow insurgents and enemy combatants.

I am presently working on a project DVD...
Collateral Murder seems like a great title.
Please, post your best clips to this thread.
I really do need the help.
This project is overwhelming me.
But that's a good thing, right?

It sounds like a worthy effort. Don't forget to get up and take in the beauty of the world as you work. It sounds like a worthy effort but one that also could be very depressing. Do not forget that not all support these horrors and revile them as much as you.

My squeeze and I were on the lake
with the top down for three hours yesterday
and took a half-day motorcycle ride the day before.
Life is good, 'just trying to keep it that way.

Good advice. Thank you.

Are we going to repeat the dreadful behavior of the Vietnam era, accusing the returning veterans of being "baby killers" and generally being ungrateful for their service and sacrifice??

Instead of believing the worst about our soldiers, we should at the very least acknowledge that they put their lives on the line, suffered terrible wounds, and made the sacrifices we would not, when our country called.

You are welcome.

Sometimes it is hard to remember, amidst all the evil and carnage, that life IS good, and that most people are motivated by decency (although they don't always live it). It is really only a very small percentage of a couple of percent who are busy dramatiizing their evil intentions (and those whom they bring under their sway).

So, grabbing the fishing pole or garden trowel is good medicine for the soul.

Some of the returning soldiers were baby killers. Some who come home today are in that category.

I was Army during Vietnam. I was then and am now grateful for those who choose to serve.

I did not overlook the horrible, war issues in the 60's and I will not now. If you are trying to make the case that these wars have a net sum gain, I disagree. We cannot and should not justify the "collateral murder" by arguing the bottom line. There was no gain in Vietnam and there will be no gain in these wars. We are creating enemies and the blow back is on its way.
