there's lots of muslim people in Oklahoma and they are not offended by these bible verses. it is the non-religious people who are intolerant.

The federal reserve is an anti-American organization.

I can't watch it right now. I heard something about it yesterday on the tube. Was it a JP Morgan bank?

I heard on the tube this morning that there is a Muslim hotel [I missed the rest of the story...I think the hotel was in the Middle East somewhere] that put up a HUGE Christmas tree. 'Bet you won't find any Christmas tree in Israhell....the Israhell police would tear it down.

that is exactly right. Israel is extremely intolerant of christmas trees or any christmas display. If a private home has a christmas tree in it, they will take it down if they find out about it.

and in the muslim world they like Christmas. They like the celebration, the customs, the gift-giving. They encourage christmas shopping at shopping malls in muslim nations. and they're actually even giving gifts to each other at christmas some of them.

this indicates that many muslims have no hostility to christians, and that the Israelis are hostile.

But Christmas isn't even very christian IMHO. Where is it spoken in the christian bible that we should celebrate it and engage in its customs? There is the verse in the old testament that specifically ridicules the christmas tree custom.

Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

Jeremiah 10:3 For the customs of the people [are] vain: for [one] cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

Jeremiah 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

It is interesting to see that the Federal Reserve's regulations which they came up with are more important than the US Constitution on this matter. The constitution says that congress shall make no law with respect to religion. yet congress created the federal reserve and the federal reserve can stop religious expression.

Psalms 137:1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

This is just more of the WAR AGAINST CHRISTMAS and Christians.

Don't forget which ethnic group that hates Christians runs the Feral Reserve.

Feds Force Okla. Bank To Remove Crosses, Bible Verse
Federal Examiners Say Religious Decoration Inappropriate

Federal Reserve examiners come every four years to make sure banks are complying with a long list of regulations. The examiners came to Perkins last week. And the team from Kansas City deemed a Bible verse of the day, crosses on the teller’s counter and buttons that say "Merry Christmas, God With Us." were inappropriate. The Bible verse of the day on the bank's Internet site also had to be taken down.

“I don’t think there should be a problem with them displaying whatever religious symbols they want to display,” said Amy Weierman, a Perkins resident.

Specifically, the feds believed, the symbols violated the discouragement clause of Regulation B of the bank regulations. According to the clause, "...the use of words, symbols, models and other forms of communication ... express, imply or suggest a discriminatory preference or policy of exclusion."

The feds interpret that to mean, for example, a Jew or Muslin or atheist may be offended and believe they may be discriminated against at this bank. It is an appearance of discrimination.

But customers Eyewitness News 5 talked to said they aren’t buying it.

“This is just ridiculous,” said bank customer Jim Nyles. “This whole thing is just ridiculous. We all have regulatory bodies that govern us. But this is too much.”

“I think that’s absurd,” said Chelsi Holser, a bank customer. “I don’t agree with it at all. They are taking Christ out of Christmas and life.”

The bank is quietly fighting for a clearer interpretation of the clause. Officials have contacted their two U.S. legislators, Rep. Frank Lucas and Sen. Jim Inhoffe, and the Oklahoma Bankers Association to help.

It's time to disregard such BS.

It is time to flat defy it. Engage in insurgency today - wish someone a MERRY CHRISTMAS.

The war on Christ Mass is taking a toll though. I have noticed fewer and fewer people each year who are brave enough to say Merry Christmas. The clerk where I bought groceries yesterday almost went into shock when I wished her a Merry Christmas. It was obvious from her response that they had been directed to NOT wish anyone a Merry Christmas.

I couldn't agree more, and I've been intentionally doing it for years now. This year, without question, has been the very best as far as positive responses. People have actually caught themselves in the middle of a "Happy Holiday" reply, and changed it to "Merry Christmas to you too". A small victory, but one that feels real good nevertheless. And shame on these sheeple for complying with such federal nonsense. Let it all go to court, then to a jury. Lets see what happens.

I, for one, am not the least bit surprised by the force of the Federal Reserve in this matter. Bankers have had a beef with Jesus ever since he turned over the tables of the money changers.

Bankers have had a beef with Jesus ever since he turned over the tables of the money changers.

in the Old Testament the early books focus a lot on something called 'the law'. and this includes the 10 commandments as well as many rules to follow. and in that area there are many directions that are against the bankers. It is counseled that we should beware of bankers' abuses, the high interests they charge, usury, etc. and it is counseled that periodically all debts should be forgiven. There are far more admonitions against the bankers in the bible than against homosexuals in my opinion at least.

But the unspoken polite belief is that the old testament (which is of jewish origin) is anti-semitic when it speaks against bankers. We used to outlaw many practices of the bankers, we called their abuses 'usury' and had laws against them. Today we don't do that hardly at all.

Let it all go to court, then to a jury. Lets see what happens.

While juries are always questionable I suspect that in this case those waging war against Christmas do not want a jury trial as THEY LOSE.

The intolerance is orchestrated, and I take every legitimate opportunity to include myself out of it by expressing my wishes to one and all for a Merry Christmas.

And Merry Christmas to you.

Red, the Old Testament only applies to proper law and treatment for JEWS, not for the goyim. Debts of JEWS should be forgiven, not goyim. Admonitions are against bankers charging high interest to JEWS, not goyim.

All of which is made crystal clear in the Talmud, the Rabbinical understanding of all things Old Testament. You are trying to apply it to all people, Red. This is a fundamental misunderstanding that leads to pleas of "anti-semitism" in relation to bankers.....but the Talmud is quite clear in that the laws only apply to Jews doing onto Jews and not Jews doing onto goyim.

Thanks for the clarity. Don't you think the US government has over-stepped its boundaries?

Absolutely. The antagonists, mostly atheists and Jews, selectively interpret the Constitution to fit their prejudice.

The First Amendment reads in part:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, ..."

The free exercise clause is the sticking point which is why the advocates for the war against Christmas, and religion in general, never quote "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". It destroys their case that the first clause prohibits public expression of religiously derived beliefs and holidays.

Regardless of people's feelings about religion the celebrations around the Winter Solstice date back to at least the Chaldeans. The Roman Church invented Christmas to replace the pagan celebrations. Frankly I am rather fond of Christmas.

I find nothing whatsoever offensive in: "Peace on Earth, Good Will To All".

And buck? MERRY CHRISTMAS.

this indicates that many muslims have no hostility to christians, and that the Israelis are hostile.

Christians co-existed with Muslims peaceably under Saddam Hussein. The night before we started bombing them back to the third world, I saw [on the tube] people praying in a church right next door to the palace. Now it's not safe for any Christians remaining after America's ZOG took over.

But Christmas isn't even very christian IMHO. Where is it spoken in the christian bible that we should celebrate it and engage in its customs?

I know, I know....however, look at Brother Nathanael. He was born Jewish, but because of Christmas, he came to know Christ. He talks about it on his website.

Jeremiah 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.......

....This isn't about Christmas trees; it's about the wooden idols the Israelites built and carried around and worshipped....

bible.cc/jeremiah/10-4.htm

Jeremiah 10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

This is another example of them projecting their foibles onto us.

not only did christians routinely get along with muslims in the arab countries prior to Israel, but also jews routinely got along with muslims in the arab countries prior to Israel. Baghdad prior to 1950 was one third jewish. there were jews all over the arab world who moved to Israel after Israel set off bombs in jewish neighborhoods in arab countries to scare them into Israel.

There is one author from Iraq who wrote a book documenting how the Iraq police were convinced that Israel was behind those bombings in the late 1940's & early 1950's. And Egyptian police also caught an Israeli in the act of setting a bomb in a jewish neighborhood. The Egyptian police forced Israel to admit that the guy was Mossad prior to releasing him.

Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

Look at this scripture and tell me "was not Jerusalem the land of the Jews" ?

It's like the writer is differentiating between the land of the Jews (being one place) and Jerusalem (a different place not a land of the Jews).

interesting; it does sound like two places....some of the commentaries think it might be referring to the previous passage:

34Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. 36The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) 37That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 39And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

"....every thing

which he did both in the land of the Jews; which takes in not only Judea, but Galilee, and beyond Jordan;

and in Jerusalem; the metropolis of Judea: ...."

bible.cc/acts/10-39.htm

If I weren't afraid of crashing my computer, I'd check it out at http://blueletterbible.org . Interesting...what are your thoughts?

Interesting...what are your thoughts?

If the punctuation is accurate I'd say it's two distinct places one known for its Jews and the other not thought of as strictly the home of Jews.

However it could be that Jerusalem is being mentioned as the place where they killed him. Insert "where" instead of "whom".

I'm still thinking about it !!!

Everyone has a religion whether they acknowledge it or not. Those attacking Christians the most belong to a religion called Judaism.
