Goldi, please do not delete this thread. We all need to know what the hypocritical loons on the left are saying and thinking. Sadly, there is no middle ground in which there can be a meeting of the minds with these fanatics. The division in the country will keep getting bigger and bigger. Frankly, I believe that this is exactly what the fanatic left wants.

Ferret was banned from LP years ago. He spewed unchecked hatred against Christians and Jews. Tho originally a very cogent poster, he somehow devolved into attack mode, inciting rather than debating. There seems to be alot of that the past couple of years. I often won't ping lists simply because a thread devolves into name calling and vitriole.

It seems that after the last citizen outburst, that at least a few of the anointed ones are showing fear, great fear.

Of course it would never dawn on the power people to resign and take up an honest line of work.

What part do they not understand???? The government is the enemy and like Lincoln said, "we have the right replace them" anytime we choose.

I kind of like putsch. Mebbe it's the kraut in me. Wondered where that word comes from and looked it up.

The Online Etymological Dictionary says:"putsch - 1920, from Ger., "revolt, riot," from Swiss dialect, lit. "a sudden blow, push," of imitative origin."

Might be related to German "batsch." The nearest English equivalent is "Bam!" As in "Bam! He punched that guy in the nose."

"Coup d'état" is nice, but sounds too courtly and by the book like a fencing teacher's move. Revolt makes my stomach turn and smacks of distaste. Mutiny and insurgency have sort of sordid overtones. Rising is rather weak and tentative. Rebellion sounds like a lot of fun. But putsch . . .

Ja, I vouldt like a nice little Putsch.

Poor Ferret, no discrimination or discernment. In his universe if you're not a screaming socialist then you fall into that pile he calls conservative. Of course the distinction between a NeoCon and Palecon is completely lost on him, and to tax his intellect confronting him with Paleolibertarian principles would be like feeding Beluga Caviar to hogs. He truly is incapable of seeing the difference and that in and of itself is instructive as to his mind (if you'll excuse the exaggeration).

There are all kinds of ways around such stupid unconstitutional speech codes.

For example: "Personally I would never call for the hanging of any criminally corrupt congressman just as I would never call for the overthrow of our corrupt government. Such extreme stances are just so yesterday - like 1776, it is a time that has past. Nope I would never call for such no matter how much they deserve it as that would be just too extreme. Nope, not me. Voting within the controlled paradigm of the 1 1/2 party system, and corrupt voting machines, really is the way to do it."

They should be getting nervous. The patriotic resistance to the incipient tyranny is building.

I have no idea how many really are out there who are becoming aware of the true situation, but that number is growing, and that makes the quislings nervous because it increases exponentially the risk to their worthless hides as it grows. Not everyone likely to act is a Jared Loughner. I know that there are a lot of people out there with a lot of knowledge of improvised explosive devices and how to infiltrate unnoticed. Get a few hundred well trained vets active and all of a sudden the life expectancy of a corrupt congresscritter plummets markedly.

Actually christine, I'm not posting much there, or anywhere. I mean no disrespect to anyone here, and wish 4UM success and care about it.

My focus has been more on making things work in real time. I feel at times my irritation with opinions on race, the birther issue, and other things were distractions here, and I made a decision to for the time being to remove the focus on those points of rancor.

I feel Flintlock is a nice person with whom I have had disagreement and I apologize for not answering his mailings. That was my fault, not his.

He gave me a high note to take a break by and it is appreciated. I do not gossip at the Nest about here, and I am just a poster there. I am not in the primary circle of posters.

All my political disagreements with you and others are honest differences, and I make none of them personal and do not think less of anyone who has a different take on things then I do.

I'll be around for many more years, just as I've posted on line since 1995. I hope that things cool down politically enough to fit in better here, and even if I don't I've learned a lot of things here and I value and respect that.

My best wishes, caring and respect to you and the general body of posters there.

Mike

A place like this thrives on the sparks of contention that folks like you bring to the table. It shakes out the cobwebs. You don't know how little you know, and you don't learn much, unless you cross swords with those with whom you disagree to one degree or another.

A belated happy new year to you, and don't be a stranger. ;]

i love your optimistism and faith in the american people, but there's a huge difference in the logistics and independence factors back then and today. we're a whole lot more connected to one another now, there's many more of us, and the number of people employed by or otherwise dependent monetarially on government is extensive.

i can't see how a significantly effective revolt can work.
