Multiple camera angles capture pissed policeman assaulting man over his "don't tread on me" hat. Supposedly you are not allowed to wear such a thing in court. This was filmed at district court in Keene, New Hampshire.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." - Ben Franklin

Tough women come from New York, sweet women from Texas, prissy women from Southern California, but we NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WOMEN have fire & ice in our blood. We can ride 4-wheelers, be a princess, throw a left hook, pack heat, hunt with the men, bake a cake, love with passion, and if we have an opinion, you know you're going to hear it!!

This is retarded.

It's illegal to wear a hat in court. Assaulted and Kidnapped?

He was arrested and charged for breaking the law.

Okay, I don't know if it was illegal or not. I think he should have just taken his hat off though. Until such time as the ptb don't make the rules and carry guns, it's wise to just take one's hat off in Court. If you don't know that and need to be told, you should still take it off.

Court is Not the place to be playing the role of a punk. The judges, prosecutors, guards and cops are just sitting there waiting like predators for someone to do that. They know how to deal with resistors.

Do I agree with it? Of course not. But that's the way it is and trying to change it in a courtroom especially when one's friend is being judged, is unwise, counterproductive and silly.

No kidding.

I knew an ex-con who, when being sentenced to three years in a burglary charge, made the wise crack that he could do the three years standing on his head - yeah, he said it.

The judge then gave him two more years.

to determine if its illegal to weara hat one would nees to read the actual statute. he could have worn a t shirt with the same flag. theyd have a hard time forcing him to strip naked. if they arrested him for words on a shirt. hed have a great lawsuit

There's always historical precedent even when it comes to removing hats. Liberty is always radical and must be quashed by the self-appointed authorities.

"...The Quakers were natural enemies of slavery, with their fundamental belief in equality in a hierarchical society where that was still highly controversial. They believed above all else that every person is made in the image of God and carries the divine light, so it is blasphemous to elevate one above another.

They refused to raise their hats to their social betters or to call them "my lord", "my lady" or even "you", insisting on the familiar "thou". Their egalitarianism was still quite scandalous in the 18th Century, but it made slavery uniquely abhorrent to the Quakers.

The problem was that they were a dangerous sect of fanatics, according to the received wisdom, so no-one listened to a word they said. They were excluded from public office. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/6476645.stm
