A Google spokeswoman who's a CFR member and former Gates Foundation director has informed parents that it doesn't work when they are 'dictatorial' and tell their children 'what they are and aren't gonna do'.

Google, which posted an announcement for 'Safer Internet Day': Read tips and resources to keep your family safe online', on their homepage this morning, included a youtube video on the page which featured several employees of Google speaking about 'family safety'.

Jacquelline Fuller, who has a prominent role in the hokey 2:25 video, darts her eyes about as she begins "number one, realize that your kids are ahead of you", warning that kids definitely know more about technology than their parents do.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who caused a collective skin crawl when he told CNBC "If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place," admitted in 2009 that the company retains information 'for some time' and may turn it over to 'authorities'.

Schmidt begins the safety video by saying "if they're awake, they're online", later adding a suggestion to parents that "you should be a friend of your child."

Fuller, sharing her philosphy on parenting, said "it doesnt work well, I think, when we try to be dictatorial and just tell them what the danger is and tell them what they are and aren't gonna do; because frankly, there's a lot of workarounds as well. Um, so we try to always maintain a conversation."

A google profile lists a brief resume of Fuller, stating in part:
