Ok I was tootling around Target down in Fresno today when I was horrified by what I overheard from a woman. I was horrified not because of what I heard but what it represented, how the anti gun propaganda has been successful.
She was shopping with a couple of kids, presumably hers, and the young boy asked if they could get water guns. She said she didn't like that word so they were going to call them water blasters.
I don't know about you but blasting, blowing things up, seems much more violent than guns. Why the objection to the word gun? I'll bet she also believes in government control and protection.

I am of the opinion that many Americans are scared to death of freedom and liberty and would be much happier as slaves.
We should go back to slavery. Not slavery by color, but slavery of men and women like this one who are too afraid to live as a free people. These type of people appear to be incapable of happiness unless they have some authority figure in charge of their lives and the lives of those around them. It's not just leftists like this woman though, it's also the right wing statists like those found on LP and FR.
These people reject the freedoms they are born with in favor of enslaving themselves and the rest of us to a government that promises to make them safe. Yet, because they are cowards they never feel safe and so constantly demand the government do more and more and more, not caring that they end up as slaves to the state. That being the case, they should be made slaves and the authority figure they demand should be decentralized down to the lowest level possible - the private citizen who is not afraid of liberty and neither needs nor wants an authority figure controlling his or her every decision.
