oilcompanies are spending billions of extra dollars drilling 200 miles offshore when they could be drilling the abiotically refilling oilfields in texas.

sure

A. Advertising. Got to make the dog and pony show look real. The major oil companies are NOT in the OIL business they are in the Oil SHORTAGE business. Restricted production = higher prices and profit margins.

B. Who said they have to drill fields that are refilling? Although they ARE refilling. Are there even more dead dinosaurs than we thought?

But that's all right sssssitisen. Go back to sleep. Fuuuball is on tonight. Don' wanna miss fuuuuball do you? And don't forget Unca' wants you to get your "B vitamins" by drinking plenty of Spud.

there are lots of reasons to deny peak oil.

it's just too bad that, once you factor peak oil into the current situation, everything makes sense.

you'd prefer to pile conspiracy on top of conspiracy, while i think that the PNAC conspiracy, documented, is quite enough.

it's just too bad that, once you factor peak oil into the current situation, everything makes sense.

Oh, it does absolutely.

If you are trying to control a large mass of people you need to have a handle on them. That handle can be either overt, through force, or covert through information control thus manipulating what people perceive to be reality. Documentarian James Burke pointed out some interesting stuff in his book and documentary "The Day The Universe Changed". One of the more interesting points was right on page one of his book: "What you see is determined by what you know." So, what a person "sees" and perceives as reality is to no small degree a result of what they know. It gives them a framework to understand the world around them. That is why for centuries everyone "knew" that the sun revolved around the earth.

The philospher Wittgenstein had some fun with that one, and this is anecdotal. Confronted by the question, "Weren't those ancients so silly and stupid to think the Sun revolved around the Earth rather than the Earth around the Sun?

To which Wittgenstein thoughtfully replied, "Yes, but I wonder how it would have looked if it did?"

The point being of course that to the observer on the ground it would have looked exactly the same.

So, if you control access to information, the types of information which people are allowed to know and are promoted, etc., you can shape public perception by presenting information which creates the desired conclusions and viewpoint. Basic PsyOps that.

So, if someone "knows" that pink oil is real then that is what they see and interpret out of the controlled news reports which themsleves in turn serve to reinforce the desired behavior and set of perceptions/interpretations of data.

Therefore it follows that if someone is fed something false then any conclusion based on false data will itself be false. If you know that 1+1=3 then you will always have the wrong answer, and never know it because you KNOW that 1+1=3 so your answer HAS to be right since it is based on what you believe to be a fact.

Personally, I prefer to get my information ad data from reliable sources rather than ABCNNBCBS-FAUX NOOZE.

too bad that the primary deniers of peak oil are allies of israel.

too bad israel is concerned enough about peak oil to mount the 9/11 operation.

No new refineries have been built in at least 30 years. Interesting isn't it that "Oilman Bush" blocked the permits that were applied for by independents to build new refineries? Interesting too in that the environmental groups that oppose new drilling and refineries are largely supported by old OIL money family foundations who stand to profit quite well by blocking new production and thus keeping prices up.

That is a very telling datum.

If you have a shortage of product in a "free market" which is resulting in monopolistic pricing why would you block the introduction of new production capacity?

Why would you cap off and keep out of production the massive find at Gull Island, Alaska? Oh, and it was recently proven that Venezuela's offshore fields measure in the TRILLIONS of barrels. What a shortage! Why we might run out sometime around 2340. That is before we consider the cold fusion technology being developed in Italy, or the rumors of suppressed energy production technology in the American black budget world.

Interesting what a few "obscure" (meaning never reported by "Pills" or the Talking Heads) datums will do for your perceptions of reality.

the ability to control government hinges on the ability to control oil.

The ability to control government and the world in general hings on the ability to control ENERGY, its production, and use. Oil is just the most "rewarding" form of energy for those who own and control the oil fields and refineries.

what is your motive in denying that oil production has flatlined for the last five or six years?

What is YOUR motive in trying to sell the idea of peak oil? And again I ask you, how do YOU think oil came to be in the first place?

Production can easily be artificially capped in order to raise profits. And you haven't shown how that is not the case.

Nope, there were MANY other reasons for 9/11. Look up PNAC for ONE such piece of information as to ONE of the reasons WHY it happened.

Look up the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, TSA, for more pieces of the puzzle.

And oh yeah, don't forget about all those who profit from the Iraq and Afghan wars.

Finally, look up the 2.2 TRILLION DOLLARS that sort of "went missing" as reported by Donald Rumsfeld on 9/10/2001.

why are you denying israel's motive to stage 9/11?

You have to understand that Israel is but a creation of those who control THIS country, and they are more than likely not even US citizens. In fact, I'd say most of them are European.

In terms of who profits the most, it isn't Israel. They were certainly HAPPY that it happened and may have helped out, but they didnt' plan the attacks or execute them.

If there were no direct US government involvement, then the fact is, even with the degree of corruption which exists at the highest echelons of this government, we would have gone to war against Israel if there was any evidence at all that Israel was the culprit behind the attacks.

Just as with the USS Liberty, Israel was given the green light if they were in fact involved at the operational level in 9/11. And that green light came from the same people who gave Johnson the order to pull back the air support that was on its way to defend the Liberty against an act of war.

And BTW, your premise that Israel carried out the 9/11 attacks due to "peak oil" doesn't make any sense whatsoever. In terms of the Israeli government, their motive would have been to expand Israel's borders and "get rid" of Saddam Hussein as a bonus. That, and they have a LOT more free weapons and billions of dollars from the US taxpayer as a result of any "war against Islam", which is what this "war on terror" is really about.
