Roy Buchanan - Walk Dont Run

Poster Comment:

I first heard of Roy Buchanan about an hour ago. If you've never heard of him before, just go look, I'm not going to sit here and shill for the guy, right?

But just in case there's any doubt...:)

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again."

"However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." [Josiah Stamp]

There are a lot of beautiful photos in that video. I've lately taken interest in photography as an art form, largely inspired by O. Winston Link.

That was just what I needed, thanks. I found some really cool Les Paul tunes earlier, but got side-tracked.

well, it was way out in the sticks, and the high school queen was a rich plumber's daughter who hobnobbed with the most famous local garage band.

sometimes they'd practice at the plumber's, or maybe they were hired for a party....they'd crank up their amps, and on a warm summer night the guitars and bass drifted half a mile through the pines to us... it's probably a mercy that we couldnt hear the vocals, if there were any.

...but with a little imagination, those guys were as good as these guys.

okay, with a lot of imagination...

billy thompson was the ringleader of the band... he was a winsome little guy, who, when we were younger, pitched for the grade school baseball team.

he wore black patent leather shoes to pitch in... but a game was an occasion, wasnt it?

I LOVE my CV speakers, they're 20 years old and can I still hear every note clearly from any room in the house if I give them enough juice.

Even though the new ones are probably built in China they still have 97db@1watt sensitivity and they sound great. The CV-1800 is very clean and drives these babys hard.
