Mother's Day Poem

Happy Mothers Day!

When I see you I think of roses.

When you laugh, I'm filled with joy.

You always make me hear song birds around me.

If I had a choice between a quilt that you made or gold, I would choose the quilt.

And I'd give you 10000 kisses on your birthday!

You look butufull each day I see you.

When you walk outside the world shines on you.

I love you mom....dearly.

Isn't that a precious poem? Warmed Ab's cold hard heart to the core. : )

If I had a choice between a quilt that you made or gold, I would choose the quilt.

My mom would rise from the grave and chase me down the street if I didn't take the gold.

She had her sentimental moments, but seriously? Gold?

However, I'm sure she would have been happy that I made a Quilting Circle very happy with all the material and notions she left behind. ;-)

lol......what is gold to an eight year old? The quilt is tangible and great for snuggling. You know there are many old Amish quilts worth more than several ounces of gold at today's prices. : )

One time on Antique Road Show this guy dragged in this old blanket he had on the back of chair for decades......it was worth more than a million because it was a rare hand made Apache relic.

Don't make me puke - I had an old "Hope Chest" with hand made hardware that got ruined. From what I know now with a little restoration it was probably worth over ten grand.

No, but my Foster Sister had a chair that she sold at a yard sale for $2 that showed up on "The Antiques Road Show" with an estimated value in excess of $1,000,000. She literally did go into the bathroom and puke.

lol.....she was hoping for gold when she threw out the chair. Bird in the hand and all that. My poem is worth more than gold to me. : )

Joking aside loving thoughts are of infinitely greater value than mere gold.
