As per Drudge, RP just quit the race. I was taken yet again.

Cyni, this is directed to you. You nailed it from the get go, and I got suckered.

I bow to you and accept my heaping portion of crow served anyway you care to deliver it to me.

This is what simply doesn't wash no matter how one looks at it.

Thusfar, he's been called a lot of names by a few people --- in the future he'll be called a few names by a lot of people.

If he is in fact a con man - he's a damn good one !

If he endorses, we WILL ALL KNOW a deal was made.

The Show this time has more twisty-turnies in it than an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

The thing is that he never made an ounce of difference as far as the agenda is/was concerned - he simply kept those intelligent enough to seek a legitimate change by legitimate means in the game for one more fake-ass election cycle.

there is no way I can believe that....

Never ignore any "possibility" in politics.

Very remote but many people have been wondering.

Go back 100 years to 1912 and Rep. Charles Lindbergh.

Attempts were made on his life and he was run out of politics by the New York times.

Then 1920s/30s Rep Louis McFadden, shot at, poisoned and poison on second attempt got him.

Then 1930s/40s, Charles Lindbergh, son murdered.

What did they all have in common? Very vocal about the bankers and Federal Reserve.

Then Ron Paul current, re elected twelve times as a republican without any opposition.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

Paul wants to keep as many supporters as possible to be used for leverage at the convention. Too many abandon ship and Ron will be all alone at Tampa. He is not dumb.

Here's the Ron Paul letter to supporters.......

He's not throwing in the towel! He will not be advertising in primary states.

Dear Abraxas,

As I reflect on our 2012 Presidential campaign, I am humbled by the supporters who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much. And I am so proud of what we have accomplished. We will not stop until we have restored what once made America the greatest country in human history.

This campaign fought hard and won electoral success that the talking heads and pundits never thought possible. But, this campaign is also about more than just the 2012 election. It has been part of a quest I began 40 years ago and that so many have joined. It is about the campaign for Liberty, which has taken a tremendous leap forward in this election and will continue to grow stronger in the future until we finally win.

Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future.

Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted. Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have. I encourage all supporters of Liberty to make sure you get to the polls and make your voices heard, particularly in the local, state, and Congressional elections, where so many defenders of Freedom are fighting and need your support.

I hope all supporters of Liberty will remain deeply involved - become delegates, win office, and take leadership positions. I will be right there with you. In the coming days, my campaign leadership will lay out to you our delegate strategy and what you can do to help, so please stay tuned.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

I'm with you guys.

Ron Paul has always exhibited a unique blend of both idealism and practicality. He's always had his feet planted on planet earth. His decisions in how to campaign have always been based on what's possible and realistic, and not according to what people like us want to see. I see today's announcement to be no different. He is not quiting the race, but when funding is out, battlefield decisions need to be made.

The flack he catches sometimes is only because he can't walk on water. It's as though all he has done in his adult life is nothing compared to what us armchair warriors have done.

How? Push him into place? aAnd WHat the fuck is he gonna do with the delegate portion he has.... does he really have enough.... I read that they will still be working to get delegates in those states....

......

Cyni

I feel you. I do. I felt the same way. I still do. Not one good rat on rat hill. I spoke with passion about it in 08... Fuck ron paul. Well maybe not that far...

....

So cyni, lod, Christine, All... This has happened. I had hoped for more myself and it is not the direct end yet but it is the death knell. With the electronic voting I can understand why... it's the only thing that keeps Perry in power...

For any of you international non texans , we used to have paper ballots then we got caught up in the Evote fad...Perry has been in power longer than bush... despite protests, guffaws, the fire bomb incident...we hate him but as long as we have electronic voting machines he'll be our governor..that manipulation power extends to presidential tallies... Orders given, paul votes nulified....

We voted today....on screens. Our votes did not count for squat.

So moving on... lots of organisation has been built. No need to let it goto waste. Paul moves on to Tampa. THe organization moves on to Tampa. Rouge elements of the organization sniper bernake and uh I mean... Attend the convention and make some noise.....

Political change must happen... MUST AND WILL regardless of Paul... I hopped he would give it his all until he won...or lost.. but his all ; all the way to the end. Now were hedging bets. I look forward to tampa and the revolution beyond.

In 2008 after the Trotski memo, many supporters continued to cling to hope, that what Paul said was not real. It was very real, he dumped us in mid stream.

Many of his supporters could not vote for McKook, so Obongo became president. Will this happen once again?

The fact that he and his campaign advisors "chose" to make this completely unnecessary statement about quitting the primaries almost makes me sick to my stomach because it makes me think the worst about him. Right before the Texas primary, where he may well have kicked Romney's ass - he forfeits.

Bullshit !

You got me to thinking (I know its dangerous) but coming just before the TX primary struck a chord and "the little gray cells" began percolating. Think about all of the hullabaloo made by the RP supporters over RNC (and state level) shenanigans in trying to rig the nomination in favor of Oromney which have become prominent in the last week or two. They were exposing the belly of the beast. If the same pattern continued much longer the RNC would be overthrown. Not good from the point of view of the Bankster Controllers as their control mechanisms, at this point, still require keeping the sheeple ignorant of the true state of affairs. The more I think about it the more I wonder if that was not the motive behind the preemptive capitulation. I can't prove but from the circumstances it does fit.
