I live very far away from California. But in terms of health, it could be said to be the center of the universe because what happens in California has a huge influence on what happens in the United States as a whole.
And what happens in the United States has a huge influence on what happens in the rest of the world.
So I just contributed towards a campaign to make GMO labelling a mandatory requirement in California.

As far as I'm concerned, there are potentially great dangers in releasing into our environment synthetic DNA. We really do not know what the consequences of doing that might be, so I start with a sceptical view in regard to the safety of GMO.
But I am also a libertarian and I deeply resent people being fed with GMO food without being informed of that fact. To me that is outrageous.
Furthermore, I am adamantly against patenting food. This is the same model adopted by the pharmaceutical industry that has caused so many problems and is damaging millions of people on a daily basis. If we allow this model to remain extended into the food industry many variants of foods will be destroyed in one way or another and our choices will not only be limited, they will be controlled by vastly wealthy and over-weaningly powerful enterprises such as Monsanto.

Animals will NOT eat GMO

No, that’s not a quote from a B-grade movie, it’s the communitarian (read Communist) quotes, summarized, of Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel and Dr. David Blumenthal, both Jews, and both key health advisors to President Barack Obama, also a Jew (his mother was a Jew).
Emanuel is the brother of former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, now Chicago mayor. He has been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of the Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. Obama appointed Blumenthal to be the national coordinator of health-information technology to make sure doctors obey computer decisions of what “care” the government deems “appropriate and cost effective.”
Many people think they don’t mean what they say. They think they are just trying to say we have to cut medical expenses, but the real goal is eventually to deny all medical care, except for the elitists. After all, when the “Plan” for America and the World is Population Reduction from the present 7 billion in habitants in the world, down to 500 million, why would the New World Order want to keep anyone alive and healthy – except themselves.
Dr. Emanuel is now 54 and Dr. David Blumenthal is 62, yet we don’t hear either one of them describing themselves as “useless eaters.” .....
Only in rare cases will the patient need to be seen by a real physician, and this is where telemedicine comes in. An appointment will be made by computer with one of the designated specialty doctors in New York, and the patient will return for a “virtual” examination by that physician. Eventually, all the “New York doctors” will be Jews and will use Talmudic law to make their decisions about who lives and who dies.
Here is what the Talmud says about Jewish doctors treating “Gentiles.” The following is an excerpt from the book, Jewish History, Jewish Religion, by Jewish author, Israel Shahak, Chapter 5, The Law Against Non-Jews:

Wal-Mart Medical Clinics
There are already 78 medical clinics operating around the U.S. in Walmart stores. In the next several years, 400 more medical clinics will be opened. CVS Pharmacies and some Big Box Stores are also planning to open their own medical clinics. At the present time, these are staffed by physicians and assistants from local hospitals but this is causing discomfort among the physicians and hospitals who understand that they are undermining their own business by their cooperation with Wal-Mart and the others. Since medical care will be automated and computerized, it won’t be long until the PA’s and NP’s running these clinics will be briefly-trained Wal-Mart store clerks, assisted rarely by the Jewish physician specialists in New York, thus holding complete control over the “healthcare” of everyone in America, and deciding who gets treated and who doesn’t.
In fact, Wal-Mart will be the ONLY store of the future and will provide: food, clothing, sports clothing and supplies, gardening equipment and supplies, vision services, medical clinics, psychological counseling, tires, gasoline stations, and probably mechanics, and dentists will be added eventually.

And because Wal-Mart will have no competition, the quality of goods and services will continue to go down.
Decrease in Physician’s salaries
In 2012, physicians and other healthcare practitioners face another stiff cut in Medicare and Medicaid fees, this time the cut will be 30%. More than 1 million providers of services to Medicare beneficiaries will be affected, including medical and osteopathic physicians, limited license practitioners such as podiatrists, nurse practitioners and physical therapists.
This is the eleventh time a payment cut has been instituted by Medicare. As the reimbursement for physicians goes down, the increasing paperwork required goes up, including the draconian laws on patient privacy which are so demanding that it’s even difficult for the patient himself to have access to his own medical records. This increasing paperwork requires more personnel to handle it, significantly increasing the overhead of the physician. In addition, patients are more litigious, raising malpractice rates to record heights. AAOS Now, August 2011, p 30.
The bottom line is that soon physicians will not be able to practice medicine because their overhead will be greater than their income.
And that is exactly what the New World Order wants: to financially break the back of the middle and upper middle class in America, and to discourage anyone from practicing medicine.....

Making money rather than depopulating is the aim.
Seeds are GMO'd to enable crops to withstand herbicide/pesticide onslaught so this represents a substantial change in the plant, a change that may well be inimical/incompatible to our eons-evolved body chemistry.
However, without GMO farmers would have to use up much more energy, plowing fields for weed control. Of course they will opt for much less costly measures...they can plant seed directly in stubble fields saving time and thousands of dollars in an industry often marked by marginal returns. So Monsanto has a captive market for making money on seed and herbicide.
