Beck: God put Romney behind in polls to prove it’s a miracle when he wins By David Edwards Monday, October 1, 2012 12:56 EDT Print

GBTV's Glenn Beck Topics: glenn beck ♦ mitt romney

Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck says that GOP hopeful Mitt Romney’s poll numbers have fallen as a part of a plan from God to make it obvious to the American people that divine intervention was responsible when Republicans take the White House in November.

“I know Mitt Romney wasn’t your first choice, nor was he mine,” Beck recently told controversial “historian” David Barton in a video clip highlighted by Right Wing Watch on Monday. “I am to the point that — A — God is trying to make this so clear to us that if it happens, it’s his finger. Because nothing looks good.”

“And yet, everybody I know who I consider a spiritual giant feels good,” he continued. “And it bothers me that I feel good because, I’m like, there’s no reason that I should feel good on this.”

The former Fox News host went on to explain that Romney’s hidden private life proved that he was “kind of on the line” with President George Washington.

“Nobody knew Mitt’s private life,” Barton agreed. “In the same way, you have George Washington. When you look at his private life, now you know why he’s a great guy.”

“And a politician to hide that shows even deeper character, I think,” Beck observed. “It shows he knows [God is] in charge. And he obeys. … He’s enough like [Washington] that God can change you.”

Recent polls have indicated that Romney is behind in all nine battleground states.

Glenn Beck’s entire interview with David Barton is available here.

Pass the pipe, Glenn.

Beck's an asshat (Rino-operative). He'd deny being a RINO but he's so pushing ORomney. He's also a freaking propagandist extraordinaire.

His type are the ones that should find themselves hanging from lamp posts next to their candidate of choice.

If Romney wins, its not God he will have to thank but Pitney Bowes.

If Romney wins after being so far behind in the polls, it won't be seen as a miracle - it will be seen as proof of election fraud!

Watching the polls and the news, I think that the challenger was making Bammy's people sweat some this summer until that loudmouth son of a bitch out of Israel began beating the war drums in public and making his election preferences plain for all to read.

It's Bibi that will put Bammy back in the White House. The latter is successfully telegraphing a more pacific message than his opposition. I personally have grave reservations that this is anything other than a tactical retreat. At any rate, the public at home is stressed out, anxious, and is in no mood for another endless mission to accomplish.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. - H. L. Mencken
