Good heavens 30 people killed at a school? probably another govt mind controllled patsy to shock the nations psyche into demanding more dictatorial controls- "blame the guns", bring in the security state.

Probably.

And fuel for the media circus frenzy machine.

Maybe it's just a coincidence that the "conspiracists" see a conspiracy in all these similar shootings.

Just remember the Republican mantra: "This is not the time to talk about gun laws."

Repeat it over and over. And then repeat it to each of 27 families in Connecticut. Let us know if they agree with you.

Who gives a shit what they agree with?

You are not going to get guns banned in this country and if you try 27 dead will only be a beginning.

from your link:

An 8-year-old student said he was on his way to the school’s office when he saw the gunman.

“I saw some of the bullets going down the hall and then a teacher pulled me into her classroom,” the boy told CBS 2′s Lou Young.

My goodness, that youngster has good eyes. "Saw some of the bullets going down the hall..."

That's what Carney is saying at the White House, although he keeps mentioning it.

It's a damn shame that no one at the school had a gun to stop this.

Would you feel better if hundreds were killed by some maniac mixing bleach and ammonia in a city park water fountain?

Who am I kidding, of course you would. Then you would be agitating to ban parks everywhere that people least likely to do so live.

Perhaps Shoonra would prefer Molotov Cocktails, who knows. There are MANY ways for a true nut to kill MANY people, from setting them on fire with gasoline, to running them over with their cars.

I can safely assume that this guy was on some sort of psychiatric meds, as pretty much ALL of the other mass shooters were on.

What needs to be examined and perhaps banned outright are these volatile prescription drugs which drive people insane.

The shooter's name is Ryan Lanza. Apparently he shot his father in Hoboken NJ prior to killing his mother, a teacher at the school, along with her students.

It's apparently a different Ryan Lanza than the guy whose Facebook page was tracked down.

Agreed, which also implies they were under the control of a medical/psychiatric "professional", licensed and trained in the the care of individuals who may someday pose a threat to civil society. Sublimely ridiculous yet tragic at the same time.

The so-called "professional" and the drug manufacturer should be held liable for "adverse reactions" to any drugs prescribed to the patient if it results in homicide, where those drugs can be linked to other homicides in the past.

Absolutely, provided it wasn't a one in ten million occurrence. It's the willful negligence/profiteering that bothers me. I'm sure you agree, I just wanted to add that caveat to better define this position.

Comment from your link to CBS story:

Adam:

Not only that, but this was an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

He would have killed just as many with a knife, it's not like the kids could have put up a fight against him.

Pencils don't misspell words.

Forks don't make people fat.

Knives don't leap off the table and stab people.

Cars don't drunk drive themselves.

Guns don't maliciously lie in wait plotting to kill people.

If every one of the teachers had been armed, maybe this would have ended with ONE death - the scumbag shooter.

Could not have said it better myself.

This is more than a crime. This is evil incarnate.

For some reason, George W. Bush comes to mind with the phrase "evil incarnate." To think I actually voted for the guy in 2000. Just 12 years ago I was a sheep. It seems a lot longer time than that.

Evil people do not care how many they kill as long as they accomplish their objectives. The "what will it take" comment from CBS's Bob Schieffer referring to what it will take to pass more gun restriction laws really, really, pissed me off. With idiotic agenda pushing comments like that after such an act of crime, it will take a lot to stop someone from killing him.

God is always good!

How can a law prevent a criminal from getting a gun and killing people? It can't! Wake up and get armed. Without some means to protect yourself you will be a sitting duck to those that want to kill you.
