Prof. Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School is a legendary defense lawyer, and the country's foremost pro-Israel advocate. He is also a steadfast supporter of President Barack Obama. Breitbart News spoke to him in an exclusive interview today about the nomination of former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) as Secretary of Defense.

Sen. Hagel is controversial for his views on Israel, the Iraq War, Iran, and gays, among other issues. Dershowitz had, prior to Hagel's nomination, urged President Obama publicly not to appoint Hagel to the position.

Breitbart News: Does the Hagel nomination represent a slap in the face to the pro-Israel community?

Dershowitz: No--I think it's a heartfelt decision by the President, based on his personal relationship with Hagel. I think its a policy mistake. And I'm not the only person who thinks its a policy mistake. There are several people within the White House who urged him not to do it.

And I'm opposed to him for one primary reason, and that is [Hagel's appointment] is going to send the wrong message to the Iranian mullahs. They could easily misunderstand that the President is backing away from his commitment not to allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons, because Hagel has opposed keeping a military option on the table.

And it's the wrong time to send mixed messages to those who are looking for an excuse for misunderstanding.

Breitbart News: Who were the opposing voices among Democrats and the administration?

Dershowitz: I don't know for sure. I've been told--well, the head of the National Jewish Democratic Council came out against it...but I'm told that an number of others within the White House advised him not to do it. And there are a number of Democratic Senators, Jewish and non-Jewish, who are opposed but who will either vote for Hagel, if needed, to get him through--or will vote against him if their votes are not needed.

But this is not a liberal-conservative split or a Democrat-Republican split. Nor is it about whether Hagel used the term "Israel lobby" or "Jewish lobby," for me. It's all about Iran. And I think that's a serious policy issue.

And I have been approached to testify, possibly, about it. And if asked, I will testify against Hagel's nomination--on the issue of Iran.

Breitbart News: Is this a sign of the direction of Obama administration foreign policy in his second term?

Dershowitz: I don't think so. I hope not. I think this was a personal decision.

Hagel is, in my mind, in the same league as [former Secretary of Defense] Robert Gates, who was appointed by [George W.] Bush, and Casper Weinberger, who was appointed by Reagan. Weinberger was virulently anti-Israel, and Gates was, in my view, the worst Secretary of Defense in modern history, and is largely responsible for why Iran continues to purse its nuclear program, because he had been softer on Iran than anybody. So it's a bad choice for the country. It's bad for peace. It makes the likelihood of military action actually increase, and it makes it more likely that Iran will develop nuclear weapons.

Now, there is a way out: if Hagel testifies and makes very clear that these are not his views, and that he is completely in favor of military action as a last resort, and that he agrees with President Obama that containment is off the table.

I am hoping to hear that. I was hoping to hear that today. But I did not.

Breitbart News: There were no Democratic senators to be found on the Sunday shows to defend Hagel--why not?

Dershowitz: A lot of them are upset at President Obama's choice, but they're going to support their President. As I've said, normally, the President gets his man. But when the choice involves deep policy decisions, the Senate has a job to do.

[Dershowitz wrote today in the online Jewish newspaper, Algemeiner: "But when the President’s decision risks sending a mixed message that could increase the chances of having to employ the military option against Iran, the Senate has an especially important role to play....We hope that these concerns can be allayed by the President and his nominee, but if they are not, it will be the highest of patriotic duties to oppose Senator Hagel’s nomination."]

Breitbart News: How can Obama send a strong signal to Iran and nominate Hagel, as you suggested in your column, given Hagel's well-known views?

Dershowitz: I think he has to say: "I'm the President, I make the decisions, and what I said before about the military option remaining on table is the policy. I don't bluff. Iran will not be able to develop nuclear weapons, there will be no containment." He should reiterate that after making the Hagel nomination, and has to say, "Hagel works for me and will follow my orders."

As I wrote today, independence is a virtue for a Senator; it is not a virtue for a Cabinet member when dealing with Iran.

Breitbart News: Did Obama ignore the concerns of Jewish organizations, or were they just not vocal enough?

Dershowitz: Well, they were split. J Street, of course, supports Hagel. [Peter] Beinart supports Hagel. AIPAC was quiet. And so I think J street gave President Obama cover, as it often does, and I think he made the wrong decision.

There are several people jooz within the White House who urged him not to do it.

I stopped there on this dingle-berry report.

It's astounding that a man who simply said there was an actual "Jewish lobby" and that he considered the needs of the US first (he is, after all, a US citizen after all) is considered anti-Israel.

Then Dershowitz mentions again the non-existent Iran nuclear weapons program, and acts as if continually threatening Iran somehow reduces the chances of war.

Dershowitz is a hardcore likudnik piece of shit. He should be deported along with the rest of the jew zionazis that want to change the fundamental way of life in America.

The Jews haven't ever been able to live peacefully amongst any other people. They can't even live with each other peacefully. They're rabid parasites and if we don't get rid of them somehow (anyhow) we'll never live in peace again.

I can't believe that this arrogant piece of shit threw his own hat in the ring to "testify" against anybody, let alone a public official that hasn't harmed Dirt-show-bitch personally. His freaking testimony doesn't belong on Crapitol Hill at all. Jews take an oath each year that allows them (only in their sick fucking minds) to lie throughout the year. So why would his testimony mean shit ?

I've had enough of these arrogant and pompous Jew gas bags for a lifetime.

I thought it was nice that someone (AKA Stone whom I have on permanent BOZO) would think enough of my response to the article wherein the dirtbag attorney Dershowitz states that he would testify against Chuck Hagel's nomination / appointment to be Defense Secretary by the 1st foreigner and 1st openly communist son of a bitch allegedly elected by the moronic welfare STATE formerly known as the united States of America.

I have never posted at Liberty Flame or very rarely at any other forum for that matter, leaving that for asshats like AKA Stone that are obvious zionist boot- lickers and most likely degenerate homos.

Those that participate here know that I don't account the Jews singularly responsible for America's woes but do see them as a disproportionate threat to American freedom and security. The Israelis have been caught spying on us, selling our secret technology to our enemies such as China, and it appears that they are leading the charge to repeal (by Executive Order no less) the 2nd Amendment.

Then there are creatures like Dershowitz that stand for everything contrary to American ideals. Jew attorneys, like Dirtbag, pervert the law rather than uphold it. Promoting pornography as something that should be protected by the CON-sti-stupid while the right to preserving ones own existence is shunned or denounced by them. This is a curious thing to comprehend when these cry babies are always whining about the holocaust, yet think we should all be potential victims of a similar fate. The most vehement opposition to the 2nd Amendment seems to be projected by Jews like Feinstein, Schumer, Boxer, Wexler, Nadler and on and on ad nauseum. How is this possible after such a nasty allegation such as the holocaust ?

Anti-semitism is a disease that you catch from Jews like Dershowitz (and AKA Stone).

Lending any credibility to a scumbag such as Dershowitz is the precise reason why America finds itself hopelessly indebted, serving Israeli gods, and slaughtering millions including thousands of her own children in middle-eastern shitholes.

I know that the arrogant Jews and ignorant Americans, mostly imposter Christians, think we should sacrifice our own children on the altar of zionazi desire, but that doesn't mean I have to. Whether the zionazis are serving theirselves or some other entity (satan or the papacy) makes little difference when the end result is the same, mass murder and genocide.

Lastly, let me say that I stand in opposition to any enemy of America and its loyal peoples regardless of the enemy's ethnicity. If that includes the self- proclaimed "chosen" liars, thieves, and murderers, so be it. Consider this; am I the only man on this planet that perceives these ingrates and the damage they've done here in America and elsewhere as something that needs to be eradicated. I seem to have noticed recent (and old) reports that anti-semitism is on the rise worldwide. Is everyone else wrong about this unacceptable condition and the Jew's perception the only correct one ?

Amazingly, even a nice guy like Jesus couldn't walk amongst the Jews for they sought to KILL HIM.

The unamerican activities of so many influential elitist Jews is destroying the goodness, morality, and financial stability in America and it needs to be exposed and rejected. Alan Dershowitz and his ilk are a cancer eating away at the virtues once attributed to America when it was yet deemed by the world as the greatest country on earth. Americans haven't over reacted. If anything Americans have sat on their hands for far too long concerning these subversives like Dershowitz.

Again, let me thank AKA Stone for republishing the above post at Liberty Flame. (Is that a gay site for enlightened fags AKA "flamers" ?) A thank you also goes out to the person that informed me of the re-post.

Daily Dot | Pro-Israel group buys ChuckHagel.com to fight Hagel's nomination

January 07, 2013

the Emergency Committee for Israel (ECI), which strongly opposes Hagel's nomination, bought the domain name [www.chuckhagel.com] to highlight their grievances with him. Examples of their criticism, like his use of the phrase "Jewish lobby" in 2007 to describe Israeli influence in the U.S. Congress, are splayed across the page.

According to Domain Tools, the site's current owners—presumably the ECI, which didn't return request for clarification—bought the ChuckHagel.com domain name in July 2012, and have it registered for another 18 months. It's unclear what the site looked like immediately after the ECI bought it, though according to saved pages on Archive.org, for years, the site simply offered a white background with the words "ChuckHagel.com" in large red letters. The current, sleek anti-Hagel version of the site was last updated Wednesday.

Cybersquatting, or buying a domain name clearly associated with a trademark in order to resell it for a profit, is illegal. But in politics, identify squatting, or using someone else's name as a URL for personal or professional gain, is common. In September, the nonprofit group Coalition Against Domain Name abuse found that more than a quarter of Congress had been targeted by domain squatters.

The ECI has a history of accusations of misleading the public. Its three board members, including Weekly Standard founder William Kristol, are all American citizens.

The ECI has a history of accusations of misleading the public. Its three board members, including Weekly Standard founder William Kristol, are all American citizens.

When a small minority are able to sway the majority to fight their wars using the majorities funding and their own children you have to acknowledge their near supernatural ability to propagandize and hypnotize.

As far as those members of ECI being American citizens goes I'd have say then that it must be logistically possible to be an American citizen while at the same time being a treasonous subversive.

We should all be fucking livid. Stop acting like docile, mentally castrated pussies and grow a pair. It's time to get in their face. Why should we speak in hushed tones and act all polite when we are being metaphorically raped in the ass every day?
