JEW YORK — Sen. Charles Schumer says retailers that sell assault weapons should stop offering them for purchase while Congress discusses gun regulation legislation.
Schumer on Sunday released a letter he sent to major retailers asking for a voluntary moratorium.
The Jew York Democrat says consumer demand for guns has gone up in the weeks since the December mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Schumer says Congress is debating the issue, and if measures get passed that limit these type of weapons, it won’t help if more of them have recently been sold.
President Barack Obama has made gun control a top priority. Vice President Joe Biden is expected to give him a comprehensive package of recommendations for curbing gun violence this week.

I'm guessing a lot of shops will close up due to supply problems and concerns over the goobermunt seizing their inventory.
On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Possibly so. Wal Mart has never been America's friend.
If the "concerns" turn into some ban or 2nd Amendment right-depriving "law" war will break out.

Schumer should eat shit and die too. And the gun dealers should tell him just that. Why any gun dealer would want to take food off his own table because of the wishes of some moron like Schumer is beyond me. And I seriously doubt he will get any takers on that--and if he does they were in the wrong business to start with.

If Schumer thinks that gun retailers will stop selling, he is sadly mistaken.
I was watching the debates on the tube the other day. Reminds me of when they tried to ban handguns in Arlington Heights, Illinois. They lost big time, 67% to 32%. A guy on the town council said, "This is a mandate." ;)

I was telling a couple of boys at the local Wal-Mart that Obama wants the U.N. to control our guns. They did not seem too happy about it.
