Former pilot and 9/11 conspiracy theorist shoots and kills 2 teen children, then himself

Xeni Jardin at 6:41 pm Mon, Feb 4

Slaying victims Alex and Macaila Marshall with their father, Phillip Marshall.

Phillip (alternately, "Philip") Marshall, 54, a career airline pilot who claimed to have once served as a contract pilot for the CIA and DEA during the Iran-Contra affair, shot and killed his two teenage children, and the family dog, then killed himself.

The apparent murder-suicide was discovered at the family home in an upscale gated golfing community in Murphys, California.

According to local news reports, teen friends of Alex Marshall, 17 (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and Macaila Marshall (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), 14, noticed the siblings had not been active via text or social media updates since Thursday and went by the house on Saturday to check on them.

The last posts made by either child to Instagram and Facebook were dated Thursday night.

The friends told police that when they arrived, they found Phillip Marshall, 54, "lying in a pool of blood inside the home," his 9mm Glock nearby.

Deputies believe the children were shot while sleeping on a couch.

The family dog was found shot to death in a nearby bedroom.

Marshall's estranged wife Sean, the children's mother, was out of the country at the time.

Phillip Marshall has been identified as a former pilot for Eastern and United airlines. He self-published a number of books, including at least two about his 9/11 conspiracy theories: "The Big Bamboozle" (February 9, 2012) and "False Flag 911: How Bush, Cheney and the Saudis Created the Post-911 World" (July 29, 2008).

A previous novel published in 2003, "Lakefront Airport, New Orleans," detailed his claimed experience as a pilot for the US during Iran/Contra.

In his books and his social media bios (including multiple Facebook accounts, his Twitter account and a Tumblr), he claims to have served as a contract pilot for the CIA's Special Activities Division during the Iran-Contra affair, flying shipments to and from Nicaragua.

He appeared on "outsider truth" shows like Coast to Coast to promote the theories in his books that 9/11 was an "inside job," the result of a plot between the US government and the Saudis.

From his author bio on Createspace.com, Amazon.com's self-publishing service:

Philip Marshall, a veteran airline captain and former government "special activities" contract pilot, has authored three books on Top Secret America, a group presently conducting business as the United States Intelligence Community.

Beginning with his role in the 1980s as a Learjet captain first as part of a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) sting on Pablo Escobar, and later in the covert arming of the Nicaraguan Contras, Marshall has studied and written 30-years worth of covert government special activities and the revolving door of Wall Street tricksters, media moguls, and their well funded politicians.

I am unable to confirm the veracity of the claims in his self-authored bio at this time.

A Facebook page for "The Big Bamboozle" showed posts as recent as January 31 with titles like, "WHAT IS THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY HIDING?," "THE ARAB WORLD KNOWS THE RAID WAS A HOAX," and posts about the Bin Laden assassination having been faked.

"PICTURES PAINT A THOUSAND WORDS," read one such Facebook post from Marshall about photographs of the assassinated Al Qaeda leader. "Since bin Laden died in 2001, these would be "alleged" photos of bin Laden. Give us a break."

He once also pitched those theories to a television news journalist with whom this blogger is acquainted.

A young friend of the two slain teens with whom this blogger is personally acquainted described them as "sweet, funny, lively, good kids."

A tweet from Macaila on January 25:

Photos from the siblings' Instagram feeds suggest that they were outgoing, well-liked by friends, and loved one another very much. In one, Macaila is in the hospital after a "golf cart accident," with her father sitting in the background.

In the last self-portrait she posted on January 28, her brother blows a hair dryer at her while she goofs in the mirror.

"I pretty much just wanted to say how great of a big brother you are," Macaila writes to her brother in another Instagram caption, "I love you so much!"

A family photo Instagrammed by Alex shows the boy at a much younger age.

In it, he is helping his father mow the lawn with a toy lawnmower.

What did he know that someone would want him killed?

I'm about half way through his last book "The Big Bamboozle" and thusfar his claims are that the field agents had it right and were reporting SAUDI State financed terrorist activity but were thwarted by upper level management of the FBI, Justice Dept, the CIA and the White House. He also claims that the 2 hour delay without a response from NORAD is evidence that they were ordered to stand down.

I could be wrong but it looks like Marshall believed that the terrorist attacks actually brought the buildings down. I don't agree with his theory concerning the collapses of the buildings but I think he has made a good case that the Bush Administration with the FBI and CIA assisted by ignoring the field agents and Cheney keeping the fighters on the ground or away from the targets. He also shows how they blocked the 9-11 Commission from the facts especially regarding the Saudi involvment.

Nor do I think he shot his children.

We should all be livid. Stop acting like docile, mentally castrated pussies and grow a pair. It's time to get in their face. Why should we speak in hushed tones and act all polite when we are being raped every day?

Now this is just brilliant!

Simply because you're dead, should not mean that you don't get your day in court.

This is the most amazing thought/idea that I've seen in a long while.

Gets my vote too !

Phillip Marshall must have been a smart man to be a pilot.

I know plenty of dumb people that are pilots. I'm not saying this guy was dumb, but he either believed false info, which isn't too smart, or was putting false info out on purpose. Even most pilots believe that a 757 did not hit the pentagon.

Nor do I think he shot his children.

Nor do I. Not himself, not his kids, DAMN Sure not his dog. Him and his family all but the estranged wife were executed. Law enforcement are complicit accomplices .

Yes you do need to be of a certain intelligence to fly a commercial airliner.

You do not know plenty of dumb people that are pilots just because you yourself are dumb.

You have no clue what the man believed. Only he knew what he believed. You have no idea if the info is false or not.

The 911 debate is ever on going and even though we can all agree it was an inside job and the fucking US/Isreali government are guilty that fails to alter the official narrative (god forbid he had a solid connection implicating the zionist government).

And lastly, you have no clue what most pilots believe. You have no way to gauge that. It is just something you have pulled out of thin air and applied to posterity here.

You should put ALOT more thought into your posting.

Why Does George W. Bush Fly in Drug Smuggler Barry Seal's Airplane? - FTW/From the Wilderness: As Published in the October 1999 Issue

Barry Seal - Wikipedia excerpts

Adler Berriman Seal (July 16, 1939 – February 19, 1986), better known as Barry Seal

Seal was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and began flying at the age of 15. In 1955, he received his pilot's license at the age of 16 and joined the Civil Air Patrol

In 1966, Seal went to work for TWA as a flight engineer and later became the youngest 747 pilot in the nation. He flew transcontinental flights for TWA until he was fired after he agreed to fly plastic explosives from Miami to Mexico for an anti-Castro group. The buyer turned out to be a Federal Agent and he was arrested. He lost his job with TWA and became a private aviation consultant for groups in Latin America, which led to a career in drug trafficking.[1]

Seal began his drug smuggling career in 1976 after he lost his job with TWA.

In 1980, Seal began working for the Ochoa family and the Medellín Cartel transporting more lucrative cocaine shipments.[2]

By 1981 he worked mainly for the Ochoa family and the Medellín Cartel transporting more lucrative cocaine shipments. This is according to the Frontline documentary on the "drug war". He then became one of the largest transportation rings for the cartel in the United States.[2]

After successful runs into his homebase in Louisiana he moved operations to an infamous airport facility in Mena, Arkansas. There he owned and operated many planes and helicopters and advanced radar equipment. This includes the C-123 transport plane which was used famously in the Nicaragua sting operation. [sic] The operation was very successful until Seal was indicted on conspiracy to smuggle Quaaludes into Florida in 1984.[4] While operating for the Medellín Cartel, Seal went by the alias, "Ellis Mackenzie."[5]

Barry Seal murder in Baton Rouge 25 years ago helped expose Iran-Contra debacle - louisianavoice.com excerpts

February 14, 2011 by tomaswell

Most of all, Seal’s murder would lay bare for all the world to see the seamy underbelly of America’s duplicitous war on drugs, and how drug smuggling was in fact sanctioned by powerful men in order to advance a hidden agenda. That agenda would turn up in the sordid details of the Iran-Contra scandal.

Seal, who began flying at age of 15, flew weapons to Fidel Castro in 1958 when Castro was fighting to overthrow Fulgencio Batista. It was only after Castro succeeded in overthrowing Batista in 1959 and declared himself a Marxist that other forces then began their efforts to overthrow Castro.

In 1964, Seal went to work for TWA and became their youngest 707 captain and later their youngest 747 captain. He was fired by TWA after his 1972 arrest in New Orleans on charges of flying explosives to anti-Castro Cubans in Mexico. The buyer, it turned out, was a federal agent. Soon after that, Seal turned to drug smuggling and subsequently was arrested in Honduras with 40 kilos of cocaine worth a reported $25 million.

By 1982, Seal was making regular runs on behalf of the Medellin Cartel, bringing tons of cocaine into the U.S. It was at this time that he moved his operations from Baton Rouge to Mena, Arkansas. Whether known or not at the time by Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton, the use of the Mena airport by Seal and others would be used by detractors in efforts to tie Clinton to drug smuggling conspiracies, especially during his first four years as President.

In 1984, Seal was indicted in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on charges of smuggling Quaaludes and money laundering.

Because Reagan feared another communist regime in the Western Hemisphere, Seal was enlisted as an undercover informant for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

By this time, Seal had purchased a C-123. The larger transport plane, which he affectionately referred to as The Fat Lady, was needed to haul tons of cocaine for the cartel. As part of his agreement with DEA, he rigged the C-123 with a hidden camera and was able to photograph Pablo Escobar helping Nicaraguan soldiers load 1,200 kilos of cocaine at the Managua airport. Reagan was ecstatic and went on national television shortly afterwards, waving the photograph given to him by Col. Oliver North and denouncing the Sandinistas as “drug smugglers corrupting American youth.”

As a result of Seal’s cooperation, the judge in his Florida case praised Seal and reduced his sentence to six months probation.

on October 5, 1986 [My note: months after Barry Seal was reportedly killed], a Sandinista patrol shot down a C-123 cargo plane that was supplying the Contras. Eugene Hasenfus, who was on board the plane, survived the crash and told his captors that he thought the CIA was behind the operation to supply the Contras.

It proved to be the singular event that blew the Iran-Contra scandal wide open. The C-123 that had been shot down was The Fat Lady, Seal’s beloved cargo plane. Somehow, the plane had fallen into the hands of Oliver North and his covert operation.

Hasenfus said that was by sheer coincidence.

That’s not likely. Seal’s offshore bank accounts disappeared and the IRS filed a multi-million dollar lien against his assets. His property, including his home and all his airplanes, were seized. Seal’s wife was said to have found George Bush’s private phone number in Seal’s wallet. The C-123 was ultimately sold to a company with connections to the CIA and was shot down soon afterwards.

Excerpts from Why Does George W. Bush Fly in Drug Smuggler Barry Seal's Airplane - FTW/From the Wilderness: As Published in the October 1999 Issue

It has all the makings of a major box office thriller: Texas Governor and Republican Presidential contender George W. Bush and his brother Jeb, allegedly caught on videotape in 1985 picking up kilos of cocaine at a Florida airport in a DEA sting set up by Barry Seal

Three months into an exhaustive investigation of persistent reports dating to 1995 that there exists an incriminating videotape of current Republican Presidential front-runner Bush caught in a hastily-aborted DEA cocaine sting, the central allegation remains unproven

The investigation started with a lead into the history of the aircraft (a 1982 Beechcraft King Air 200 with FAA registration number N6308F - Serial Number BB-1014). The handwritten tail number was found in records kept by Seal's widow and later linked to other "hard paper" records left by Seal after his 1986 assassination by "drug traffickers" who were subsequently connected to Oliver North. Those records, including leasing agreements, insurance policies and maintenance records, exhibit a deliberately-confusing "paper trail" of convoluted ownership

Southern Air had owned the C123 used by Seal in the Nicaragua sting operation which made Barry Seal famous. That same aircraft was later shot down over Nicaragua in 1986 and the lone survivor Eugene Hasenfus was captured alive by Sandinista soldiers.. That is what started the Iran-Contra scandal to begin with.

getting ready to go to war in the Spring of 1982:

Retired Air Force Major General Richard Secord began managing an operation in which Israel shipped weapons captured in Lebanon to a CIA arms depot in San Antonio, Texas, for re-shipment to the Contras. [sic] at this exact same time, in the Spring of 1982, Barry Seal began flying private planes into a then-obscure airport in the secluded mountains of western Arkansas known as Mena.

More on Nicaragua, etc., at Kevin Barrett's noliesradio.org: Wayne Madsen: 9/11 author Philip Marshall “suicided” by black ops team -- audio and transcript

[Philip Marshall's] first book was called Lake Front, about Lake Front Airport in downtown New Orleans, where he and Barry Seal worked together in the early 80s. I would point out there’s also a photograph that has shown up showing Phil Marshall in 1984 at the Mena airfield in Arkansas. Now this is the famous, or infamous, airport that was the scene of a lot of cocaine smuggling from Latin America in return for US weapons being shipped to the Contras in Nicaragua and the various drug cartels.

Cross-referencing 4um Title: Multistate Anti-Terrorism Information Exchange [aka MATRIX]. Info there on Hank Asher aka the “father of data fusion,” at Post #4 [once smuggled millions of dollars worth of cocaine; drug-running activities he admits spanned eight months in 1981 and 1982] and Post #5 [cocaine drug smuggling valued at $150 million; additional money laundering bizzness info, etc.].

DRUG WAR:

Names:

Adler Berriman Seal

[sic]

Hank Asher

Although I can find no other direct link between Barry Seal and Hank Asher, they were cocaine drug smuggling contemporaries and Asher is linked to Florida where Barry Seal was indicted in 1984. Also, one of Asher's companies was involved there in suspected voter fraud.

Like Barry Seal's affiliate, Philip Marshall, Hank Asher was recently reported dead (but from no officially stated cause, afaik); and so was another man named Don Haidl. Asher and Haidl were both involved in the case of Mike Carona, a corrupt Sheriff in Florida who had served on a top-secret George W. Bush national security task force. Haidl was reportedly a used car salesman. This is a continuation of excerpts at the FTW article linked above regarding one of Seals' planes:

Suddenly, on June 14, 1984, after [sic] the consolidation of Contra operations under Oliver North the plane was sold twice in one day. According to journalist, producer and author Dan Hopsicker, "This was at a period in time when Barry knew he was on the way out." The plane went first to a mysterious Morgan B. Mitchell of Vale, Oregon, and then to Chevrolet Dealer Merrill Bean of Ogden Utah. Bean, curiously, gave the Dover, Delaware address of the "Prentis Hall [sic] Corporation" on his FAA registration.

In an interview Bean stated that he had incorporated in Delaware as a legal necessity because of the needs of his investors. "Delaware is a very convenient place for many kinds of corporations to incorporate and many large corporations and multi-nationals do so," Bean told FTW. "Because other companies I was in partnership with were incorporated there I chose to do so also. It was much easier that way and it was a requirement of the partners who were investing."

However, Delaware officials in the Secretary of State's office said that Bean's company, Prentis Hall [not Prentice Hall], does not exist. And in the FAA records connected to Bean's ownership of "Zero-Eight-Foxtrot" we find yet another unexplained gap in FAA records. Whenever major mechanical repairs are made on an aircraft, the involved mechanic is required to complete an FAA Form 337. In December 1989, FAA certified mechanic Irvin Strayer installed some routine de-icing equipment on the plane. The mechanic, reviewing what should have been original ownership documents, listed the owner as United Insurance of Ogden Utah. Nowhere in FAA title paperwork does United Insurance appear as an owner. And a spokesman for the Utah State Department of Insurance told FTW that there had never been a United Insurance licensed to do business in the state.

"It was an insurance company that a group of car dealers had formed to handle title and financing and other insurance for car sales," said Bean. "I bought the other guys out of the airplane and had some repairs done before I sold to Corporate Wings."

Someone should have told the FAA. Or perhaps someone changed the FAA's records. Stranger things have happened. Bean does not recall if he changed the records to reflect this or not.

A Likely Suspect

In what will become a long litany of links between Barry Seal's activities and the financial fraud of the 1980's, Merrill Bean was also involved in what The Salt Lake City Tribune called "the worst financial disaster in Utah since the Great Depression." That disaster was the en masse 1980s failure of Utah thrifts -- hybrid financial institutions that offered high interest rates and consumer loans -- and the collapse of the insurance fund that was supposed to protect their deposits.

Because Utah's thrifts were heavily underinsured, the actions of Bean's thrift, Western Heritage Thrift and Loan, left a trail of broken hearts, and broken people.

Bean told FTW, "I was Director of that failed thrift. I came aboard when it was almost going under. And I poured some money into it to try to save it and it didn't happen. I was hoping that my $75,000 that I put into it would help revive it." While admitting that he was on the Board of Directors of Western Heritage, Bean stated emphatically that he was not "a Honcho."

FTW wonders how an obviously savvy businessman who owns several aircraft and car dealerships believed that $75,000 would turn around a failing savings and loan. In "The Mafia, The CIA and George Bush," Texas journalist Pete Brewton documented how much of the S&L scandal was connected to Iran-Contra operations and illegal covert operations of the CIA.

Noting again because of Philip Marshall being painted as a "crazy conspiracy theorist" gunman: Ogden, Utah is also linked to the Robbie Parker family of the Sandy Hook gun-grabbing Hoax.

Edited for spacing, excerpt notation at the louisianavoice.com link and to reword sentence 2 of the 4um thread cross-referencing section.

There's so much dis information along with the hidden critical information it might be that the truth is a stew of it all.

The kosher official narratives are managed by big media, which includes big alternative media names: Webster Tarpley and on and on. That's a big reason why alternative media is comparable to a carrot-on-a-stick where even if PsyOp/BlackOp hoaxes are exposed, that's usually as far as it goes (if not largely ignored). Psywar doesn't just hide actual crimes that did happen but also attempts to "validate" crimes or deaths, etc., that might not have really happened at all for purposes of tyrannical legislation or wars or whatever. So, at this point, I'm not convinced that Philip Marshall and his children are dead or Hank Asher either or even that Barry Seal was assassinated. They could have gone into a Witness Protection program for all I know.

Good because there's absolutely no reason to be convinced of it :)

I wonder if any of those "parents" had life insurance for their children and if any money was claimed.

Shouldn't be too hard to find out.

Questions on the Marshall family murders:

Were his hands tested for gun-powder residue?

What caliber bullets were used?

Were the bullets fired from Marshall's pistol?

These are the most basic, fundamental forensic questions that should have been immediately investigated, and answered honestly.

Phillip Marshall's twitter avatar:

Here's Dan Hopsicker's story about how he got the photo and what it means:

http://www.madcowprod.com/05072006.html

"Look out kid, They keep it all hid.” Bob Dylan “Subterranean Homesick Blues”

WORLD EXCLUSIVE May 6 2006--Venice,FL. by Daniel Hopsicker

Deposed CIA head Porter Goss was once a member of the CIA's super-secret Operation 40, an assassination squad which roamed through North and Central America during the 1960's.

Along with a number of men whose names became famous and whose lives and careers comprise a large part of America’s Secret History, Goss appears (see a comparison) in the historic photograph at right, which also appears on the cover of "Barry & 'the boys': The CIA, the Mob, and America's Secret History."

It is the only extant photograph of the members of Operation Forty, the CIA’s assassination squad, taken in a Mexico City nightclub in 1963.

Coupled with his close proximity to the terrorist hijackers who used his Congressional District in Charlotte County as one of their main bases of operations, this fact virtually shouts out for closer examination during the post-mortems dissecting his tenure as CIA chief.

When we first saw the photo, it was in the yellowed frame used by nightclub photographers back in the 60's. It bore the name of a nightclub (La Reforma) in Mexico City, and was stamped with a date, January 22, 1963, ten months to the day before the Kennedy assassination.

"Guido, meet the General. General, meet Guido."

The Mexico City nightclub photo reveals a mixed group of Cuban exiles, Italian wise guys, and square-jawed military intelligence types. It was discovered among keepsakes kept in the safe of the widow of CIA pilot and drug smuggler Barry Seal, where it was overlooked by a 7-man team from the U.S. State Department which showed up at her house in 1995 to comb through her records.

Barry Seal had been recruited at the age of 17, along with Lee Oswald, by CIA agent David Ferrie, at a two week summer camp of the Louisiana Civil Air Patrol in 1957.

The product of a patrician Connecticut upbringing, an elite preparatory school and Yale University, Goss entered the high-stakes espionage game being played out between the Florida Keys and the coast of Cuba after the CIA-backed coup against Castro collapsed at the Bay of Pigs.

"During his junior year, he met a CIA recruiter through his ROTC commanders,” reported the September 24, 2002 Orlando Sentinel, in a story headlined “TERRORISM FIGHT KEEPS REP. GOSS IN POLITICAL FRAY.”

“It is true I was in CIA from approximately the late 50's to approximately the early 70's,” Goss told antagonist Michael Moore.

At the time the picture was taken Barry Seal was a young-looking 24-year old. Porter Goss was the same age.

"They've given you a number, and taken 'way your name."

Seal is seated third from left. Sitting right next to him (second from left) is Porter Goss. Beside Goss is notorious "freedom fighter" Felix Rodriguez (front left), a Cuban vice cop under the corrupt Mob-run Batista regime in Cuba who later became an Iran Contra operative and a confidant of the first George Bush.

On the other side of the table is the the only spook celebrant displaying any regard for tradecraft... Covering his face with his sport coat is Frank Sturgis, famous for being one of the Watergate burglars.

Beside Sturgis (front right) is another famous spook, at least among Kennedy assassination researchers, William Seymour, the New Orleans representative of the Double-Chek Corporation, a CIA front used to recruit pilots (like Seal). Seymour is regarded by many researchers as the man who on several notable occasions is said to have impersonated Lee Harvey Oswald, when that lone nut gunman was out of the country.

At the time it was taken the CIA's covert action chief in Mexico City was David Atlee Phillips, AKA Maurice Bishop, who reportedly met with Oswald in Dallas before the assassination.

"You don't have the negative too do you?"

The sensitive nature of the picture was confirmed by a person who had known and worked with Seal, who incidentally had been the inspiration for the hit song "Secret Agent Man," by his buddy Johnny Rivers in the 'mid-60's.

The man, also the executor of Seal's estate, reacted with unconcealed shock when first shown the picture. “Where did you get that?” he demanded. “I didn’t know there were any… Where did this picture come from?"

“Yeah, Barry was Op Forty,” Jerry Patrick Hemming confirmed. “He flew in killer teams inside the island (Cuba) before the invasion to take out Fidel.”

Frank Sturgis, a member of the team that broke into Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex in 1972, later admitted to having been part of Operation Forty.

Other famous names who belonged to Operation Forty include Thomas Clines, Edwin Wilson and "Blond Ghost" Ted Shackley.

Colonel William Bishop showed author Dick Russell a series of photographs of Latin-looking individuals who belonged to the group. On the backs of the pictures were the words "Special talent 1960-65, Ice pick man ... Butcher... Sniper and demo [demolition] expert ... Propaganda ... Knife man... Pilot and navigator ... Mutilator."

“Bishop said, ‘We weren't playing a nice game.’”

When nephew Chuck Giancana wrote about Mob Boss Sam Giancana’s strategic move to Mexico in early 1963, he wrote this about Operation Forty...

"It was to be an all-out, no-holds-barred Latin American push. Mooney (Giancana) settled into a lavish Mexico City apartment and went right to work, drawing on the expertise and mammoth resources of the recently-formed CIA team of assassins and operatives specifically trained for Latin American clandestine operations. CIA insiders jokingly dubbed the team the White Hand, an allusion to the Mafia killer progenitors the Black Hand."

"You're not cleared for that information."

Although the photo was available at the time of his confirmation as head of the CIA, the major media showed no inclination to press Goss on the matter. In fact, the party line rang out everywhere.

"Rep. Porter J. Goss has disclosed precious few details of his CIA employment from roughly 1960 to 1971,” reported a profile in the Associated Press. Reuters called him a “mystery man,” and said he had been “close-mouthed about his past.”

“He worked in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Mexico-tumultuous countries during that decade of the Cold War,” Reuters reported.

During a 2002 interview with The Washington Post, Goss joked that he performed photo interpretation and "small-boat handling," which led to "some very interesting moments in the Florida Straits."

He acknowledged he had recruited and run foreign agents and said he would be uncomfortable traveling to Cuba but wouldn't say more.

“With a prep-school education and a Greek major at Yale, Goss passed up the conventional life to be a CIA spook,” reads one typical wire service account.

Actually, the facts lean heavily towards the proposition that with “a prep school education and a Greek major at Yale,” Goss’s choice to become a CIA spook in the early 60's was an entirely conventional one.

"Closed orders and secret societies"

The appointment of Porter Goss revealed that what passes for American civic life may in reality be just an elaborate game of Inside Baseball. Goss found himself paired often with fellow Floridian, Democratic Sen. Bob Graham, then the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, leading the joint congressional inquiry into the attacks.

The two men share another unique distinction: both were having breakfast on the morning of September 11th, 2001 with a man who reportedly wired $100,000 to Mohamed Atta.

"When the news [of the attacks on the World Trade Center] came, the two Florida lawmakers who lead the House and Senate intelligence committees were having breakfast with the head of the Pakistani intelligence service.”

In testimony before Congress on February 9, 2004, Chief Weapons Inspector David Kay noted, "Closed orders and secret societies, whether they be religious or governmental, are the groups that have the hardest time reforming themselves in the face of failure without outside input."

When was the last time anyone heard a weapons inspector mention secret societies?

Do you ever get the feeling there's something they're not telling us?

Wayne Madsen was on the radio program Coast 2 Coast last night to talk about his findings in the Phillip Marshall Case

After a week-long on-site investigation, former National Security Agency officer Wayne Madsen is “100% certain” that 9/11 investigator and author Philip Marshall and his two children were killed in a black ops hit. Madsen’s conclusion is that the cover story – an alleged murder-suicide – is transparently absurd.

More Porter Goss:

Bomb Goes Off At Pentagon During Porter Goss Q&A

Phil Marshall cast much suspicion on Porter Goss in his most recent book “The Big Bamboozle”. Goss (who was later appointed to CIA Director by President Bush, only to mysteriously resign shortly afterwards, no reason given) was one of those present at that infamous breakfast meeting at the Capitol, on the morning of September 11, 2001, with General Mahmoud Ahmad, head of the Pakistani ISI. According to the FBI, Indian Intelligence and several press reports, the Mahmoud Ahmad was instrumental in providing financial support to the 9/11 terrorists. Ahmad had allegedly ordered the transfer of $100,000 to the presumed 9/11 ring-leader Mohamed Atta.

At that September 11 meeting were three lawmakers Bob Graham, Porter Goss and Jon Kyl who were part of the Congressional delegation to Pakistan. Also present at this meeting were Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S. Maleeha Lodhi and several members of the Senate and House Intelligence committees. This meeting was described by one press report as a “follow-up meeting” to that held in Pakistan in late August.

After the Capitol meeting, Porter Goss went to the Pentagon where he is seen being interviewed, on camera, by the mainstream US media, while the attack sequence was still being played out. This video gives us some evidence regarding what happened at the Pentagon, as Goss was speaking: There is a distant boom, and people in camerashot turn around and gasp. Then, a minute later, we hear the sound of a large commercial plane flying full throttle, engines screaming, and people look towards where the sound is coming from. There were TWO events at the Pentagon that morning, and Porter Goss likely knows exactly what happened, and who was responsible – and Phil Marshall was onto Porter Goss.

Edit to add: There's a whole bunch of stuff about Operation 40 at Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_40

Operation 40 was a Central Intelligence Agency-sponsored undercover operation in the early 1960s, which was active in the United States and the Caribbean (including Cuba), Central America, and Mexico. It was approved by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in March 1960, after the January 1959 Cuban Revolution, and was presided over by Vice-president Richard Nixon.

The group included Frank Sturgis (who would later become one of the Watergate burglars); Felix Rodriguez (a CIA officer who later was involved in the capture and summary execution of Che Guevara); Luis Posada Carriles (held in the US in 2010 on charges of illegal immigration, he is demanded by Venezuela for his key role in the execution of the 1976 Cubana Flight 455 bombing); Orlando Bosch (founder of the counterrevolutionary Coordination of United Revolutionary Organizations, that organized the 1976 murder of Chilean former minister Orlando Letelier); Rafael 'Chi Chi' Quintero; Virgilio Paz Romero; Pedro Luis Diaz Lanz; Bernard Barker; Porter Goss; and Barry Seal. Members took part in the April 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion directed against the government of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.

Operation 40 had 86 employees in 1961, of which 37 were trained as case officers

At 1:01:23 and approx. 1:22:00 of the Coast to Coast video that noone222 posted [at #39], Philip Marshall talks about Prince Bandar Bush and funding by him through Riggs Bank. He mentions too that Bandar Bush is/was from the same hometown as alleged Flt. 77 hijacker-pilot on 9/11, Hani Hanjour.

Like Philip Marshall, Bandar Bush was involved in Iran Contra.

Am posting some Amazon.com reviews/comments here on Philip Marshall's book, "The Big Bamboozle":

By M. Hatfield: The statement by Prince Bandar that lying and deception are all part of the political process and one accepts it or gets out of the game really sums up the global politics of the post 9/11 world.

By L. C. Northern "Regular Guy": He entices you to read the book by explaining how he can show problems with plane number and identification which might help understand 9/11. Then he uses a bait and switch [sic] about Iran Contra in the 1980's.

By doberman21: Another "Patcon" Tragedy

The govt. trolls are already busy trashing Marshall for "alleged" mental illness." Social engineering tends to be more successful when the sheep think everyone else buys the "official" MSM story. Anyone gullible enough to believe the "official" story obviously wouldn't have bothered to read Marshall's book anyway... so let's not pretend to actually be writing a review. [sic]

So what do all these random targets have in common? Ever heard of "Patcon"? Recent FBI docs released in the Trentadue case through FOIA reveal "OKC" & Elohim City were part of FBI/Mossad operation Patcon... to stigmatize militias [sic] in prep. for disarmament & the coming police state (i.e. "coming" as in past sense, since its now here [sic]

Ever ponder why the US Govt. & Mossad wld create & fund "Radical Islam" & what benefit they get out of it (hmmm.... phony "War on Terror" & "911" come to mind, + uber profits for central bankers & military industrial complex). Why is the US & Israel currently funding, training & arming communists posing as "Rebels" in Syria? Why did they fund communist "Rebels" posing as the so- called "Muslim Bro-hood" throughout the "Arab Spring"... & where did the name "Arab Spring" even originate? Ever heard of the European Spring of 1848 & the `48'ers (the same 48'ers kicked out of Europe for attempting to overthrow various govts.--who then found Marxist asylum in America & went to work in various newspapers, sowing seeds of Marxism to help Marx incite Revolution right here--in a very uncivil war). BTW, that's the same Marx who worked as a corresp. for Horace Greeley's NY Tribune--the "official newspaper" of the Republican Party--founded on the very "un-American" principles of highly Centralized Fedl. Govt. or anti-Jeffersonian principles of elitist Hamiltonian Federalism (i.e. the same principles espoused in Marx's Manifesto). These same 48er's then went to work for Marx's fave. President, Lincoln, raping pillaging & marauding all over the South, while serving the Union in its very uncivil war to suppress the U.S. Constitution & its campaign to erect a new unconstitutional form of govt. alien to the one formed by the founders.

Who were the 48ers...& who were the majority of commies in Europe in the 1800's? The majority were from a particular religious background w/a knack for funding communism--& they're not Muslim)! The most import. question is why the main financial supporters of commies are almost exclusively from this religious background--that's again far from Muslim, yet it's the same group that claims to be threatened by "Radical Islam"? Here's a clue, it's the ONLY group that actually benefits from the "War on Terror" [sic]

What possible benefit could the US, ISRAEL & Central Bankers that control both get from funding "Radical Islam" throughout the Middle East (hmmm... perhaps WWIII to precipitate GLOBAL disarmament... think "Patcon" on a global scale, where they make lots of $$ fomenting war to disarm the slaves... & the war they create facilitates the creation of U.N. Utopia a/k/a the global police state necessary to keep the slaves subdued & oppressed in inescapable peonage to the New Central Banking Order). Marshall was on the right track about the Saudis-- but stopped short of exposing the whole truth behind 911. Saudi Arabia was just a front to hide the real wizard behind the curtain...[sic]

References on Patcon:

Cached copy of Patriot Games BY J.M. BERGER | APRIL 18, 2012 | foreignpolicy.com -- 7 page article; excerpts

In 1990, the FBI began picking up on rumors about an effort to reconstitute a notorious terrorist-criminal gang known as The Order.

[My note: Allegedly,] Members of The Order assassinated Jewish talk radio host Alan Berg in 1984, before most of its members were arrested and its leader killed in a standoff. Less than 10 percent of the money stolen by The Order was ever recovered,

Code-named PATCON, for "Patriot-conspiracy," the investigation would last more than two years, crossing state and organizational lines in search of intelligence on the so-called Patriot movement, the label applied to a wildly diverse collection of racist, ultra-libertarian, right-wing and/or pro-gun activists and extremists who, over the years, have found common cause in their suspicion and fear of the federal government.

The undercover agents met some of the most infamous names in the movement, but their work never led to a single arrest. When McVeigh walked through the middle of the investigation in 1993, he went unnoticed. [My note: Probable Patcon actor.]

PATCON stayed under wraps for nearly 15 years, until it was discovered in Freedom of Information Act requests by the author. The account that follows is based on thousands of pages of FBI records on PATCON and the groups it targeted, as well as interviews with FBI agents who worked on the case, former FBI informants, and members of the targeted groups.

PATCON had its origins in the investigation of Louis Beam, an infamous racial ideologue with connections to the original Order. In 1987, the government prosecuted him for sedition in connection with the group's activities, but he was acquitted and subsequently moved to the Austin, Texas, area. [My note: Probable Patcon actor; Leaderless resistance advocate: The concept of leaderless resistance was reportedly developed by Col. Ulius Louis Amoss, a former U.S. intelligence officer, in the early 1960s. An anti-communist, Amoss saw leaderless resistance as a backup for the possibility of a communist seizure of power in the United States. The concept was revived and popularized in an essay published by the anti-government Ku Klux Klan member Louis Beam in 1983 and again in 1992 (My note: or supposed anti-government Ku Klux Klan member Louis Beam)]

[sic] In February 1992, not quite a year into the operation, the focus of PATCON shifted. The agent posing as Dave Rossi arranged an introduction to Thomas Posey, the leader of the Alabama group, Civilian Material Assistance (CMA).

CMA had its origins as an anti-Communist group helping the Contras in the Nicaraguan civil war. It had murky connections to government through the Iran- Contra program, and Posey had been called to testify during congressional hearings on the scandal.

When Iran-Contra wilted under public scrutiny, Posey repurposed CMA as a Patriot militia and began reaching out to like-minded organizations with an eye toward forging a Patriot alliance, according to former CMA members and FBI documents.

Oklahoma City Bombing Secrets - PATCON and the Strategy of Tensions

PATCON is an acronym for "Patriot Conspiracy", a Clinton-Reno- Holder, FBI and ATF undercover operation. PATCON was designed to infiltrate and incite the milita and evangelical Christians to violence so that the Department of Justice could crush them.

Ruby Ridge was a PATCON operation. Waco was a PATCON operation. And so, too, I believe was the Oklahoma City Bombing.

After watching these news broadcast excerpts, it is very difficult to come to any other conclusion, but that McVeigh's 'truck bomb' was little more than a decoy for an FBI-run false-flag terror operation - for which they were already poised in nearby hotels to emerge as the 'heroes'.

Flashback From Sunday, February 3, 2013
A Murphys man killed his two children...(before any hard evidence he was convicted by the Calaveras Enterprise)

...Hewitt said investigators believe the murders occurred sometime between Thursday and Saturday morning. Hewitt said the coroner will take a liver temperature to get a more accurate time of death. No neighbors reported hearing any gun shots, Hewitt said.

“The gun was not silenced,” he said. “The houses are not very close together and if they are well built and insulated with all the windows and doors closed, the shots would have been muffled.”

Jeff Woods, who lives directly across the street from Marshall, said he did hear strange noises late Friday night while he worked in his downstairs office.

“I was working with the television on in the background when I heard an unusual noise,” Woods said. “I stopped working and went upstairs, turned the lights on and looked around. I didn’t hear anything else, so I went back downstairs. Not too long after that, I heard another strange noise. I muted the television and listened for a second without hearing anything else.”
http://www.calaverasenterprise.com/news/article_71f9b8da-6e27-11e2-99e8-001a4bcf887a.html

According to the NRA: "Gunshot decibel levels, measured by John S. Odess, M.D., ranged between 143.5 from a .22 short to 174.4 from a .458 Win. Mag

If 4 9mm gunshots were fired at night 100 feet in your next door neighbors house would you hear it? I think so.

The house on the left of Marshalls in the photo above (107ft away) is occupied by an 80 year old woman and her 82 yr old husband. It is quite likely they were both home on both THU and FRI nights, and they probably weren't hosting band practice. Further research is called for...

And just another reminder:

Phillip Marshall writes: http://thebigbamboozle.tumblr.com/

I soon learned that major flight training had been conducted in the middle of the night with military and civilian airplanes in top-secret fashion. Blackwater is one of several operators that use the very airport I had run across — Pinal Airpark, a secluded desert facility near the town of Marana, Arizona, and near the former home of Saudi Arabian pilot Hani Hanjour, the hijacker pilot of American 77. I discovered that over 80 perfectly airworthy commercial airliners are scattered around the airport and heavily guarded by a mercenary army with covert Saudi ties. The opportunities are perfect to “borrow” a Boeing for unlimited and undocumented air training in the dedicated practice range over the desert. The means and the opportunity to slip hijackers in for training were all in place.

Pinal Airpark:

Directly north of the airpark:

Someone nailed it:

One would think journalists would have some loyalty to the people murdered on 9/11. Meaning the best way to honor the victims would be to find out why they were murdered. Instead we have a media mindset of arrogance and authoritarian cheerleading. To the point where Marshall is derided as some sort of whacky conspiracy nut for daring to claim the Saudis and CIA were involved in facilitating 9/11. This just so happens to be supported by public record information. But because it is not establishment consensus the media pretends it is conspiracy nuttery. I read articles, blogs and message boards about the Marshall murders and it is very sad the way many people are evidently pleased by their allegiance to a government approved 9/11 narrative...

The media in the US is held to a pathetic standard of conduct. They should feel nothing but shame because Marshall did their job. Instead they self righteously mock him for failing to buy their line of authoritarian cheerleading. Hey media ****** it isn't impressive for you to make fun of Marshall for trying to understand why almost 3,000 people were murdered. Respecting the victims doesn't mean turning your back on them in some bizarre display of allegiance to CIA bs.

MEDIA RELEASE
Uudate: Marshall Investigation

Release Date: 03/29/13

PDF http://sheriff.co.calaveras.ca.us/Portals/sheriff/Press/2013/Update_Marshall_Investigation.pdf

...Phillip Marshal's blood sample contained .08 mg/L hydrocodone (pain reliever/narcotic), .02 mg/L morphine (pain reliever/narcotic), and .80 mg/L hydroxybupropion (anti-depressant). Alcoholic beverages, including a bottle of whiskey and an open l2-pack of beer, were found inside the Marshall home.

From the Wiki page: ...the FDA issued a health advisory, which warned that the prescription of bupropion and varenicline for smoking cessation has been associated with reports about unusual behaviour changes, agitation and hostility. Some patients have become depressed or have had their depression worsen, have had thoughts about suicide or dying, or have attempted suicide.[87][88] This advisory was based on the postmarket review of anti-smoking products, which identified 153 reports of the suicidal adverse events for varenicline over the first year it was marketed and 75 reports for bupropion over ten years...

pretty much case closed.

Impressive report. The Sheriff heard the rumblings from the peanut galleries.

And who's to say if that's the truth?

The pictures that I've seen don't show a bug-eyed whackjob like the other recent shooters.

I still believe it was a hit.

Of course they could be lying. But the one thing underlying this whole case is how stupid it would be to get rid of him by sending an assassin in the middle of the night and not only kill him but his kids. He flew a private plane recently, having a propeller come loose or something would have been easy.

Blowing him and his kids away just would accomplish the opposite of silencing his message-lots more know about every theory he had as it is now. And if he really had something he was about to release, I think more sophisticated means would have been used, that wouldn't involve his kids. But maybe I'm wrong, and we've devolved to having fed hit squads killing 14 yr old girls in the middle of the night. Wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Regarding his picture, I agree. He doesn't look insane. But if we are to believe the Sheriff, recent troubles were made worse by poison pills- real drugs that cause Grown Men to shoot infants.

there are thousands of cases like his documented here
ssristories.com
at least every week another otherwise "sane" person takes some of these antidepressants and blows away a few members of their family and then themselves. Search father murder suicide, happens all the time. Just heard about one like that in Washington. It's these drugs, seriously. That's what's causing our troops to commit suicide in the numbers they are too.

But yeah, maybe the Sheriff is lying. Who knows.

You seem to have changed your views of the case quite a bit but interesting video. Most interesting, imo, was G.W. Bush's statements starting at 5:58 that indicate he flew by the Pentagon, in a helicopter, while it was still in flames. Also, the statement by Peter Goss starting at 5:05 that the Speaker of the House is third in line of succession to the Presidency, which is disputable.

...the Speaker of the House is third in line of succession to the Presidency, which is disputable.

Why do you say that?

This is the "conventional" short answer, contingent upon the Speaker of the House meeting the Constitutional requirements of Presidential office per Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 (natural born citizenship, age, and residency status):

Speaker of the United States House of Representatives - Wikipedia

The Speaker is second in the United States presidential line of succession, after the Vice President and ahead of the President pro tempore of the U.S. Senate.[2]

The underlined part of that sentence is somewhat confusing, since the Vice President is the President pro tempore of the U.S. Senate. Presumably, it means that the Speaker of the House is [Edit to add: if Constitutionally qualified] second in the line of succession, ahead of whoever is [Edit to add: if Constitutionally qualified] the replacement President pro tempore of the U.S. Senate when that role is vacated by a Vice President being installed in the Presidency. [Edit to add: Vice Presidents must be Constitutionally qualified for the Presidency.]

These are some sources pertinent to the Presidential line of succession issue and Constitutionality or lack thereof beyond a Vice President, age concerns, etc.:

United States presidential line of succession - Wikipedia | 3 U.S.C. § 19

Presidential Succession Act - Wikipedia [1792, 1886, 1947, 20th and 25th Amendments]

Additional info on Article II, Section 1, Clauses 5 and 6

Edited to include the noted bracketed inserts on Constitutional qualifications.

Adding some additional notes here on Porter Goss, the alleged 9/11 hijackers, suspect connections, etc.

Post #197 above:

Goss (who was later appointed to CIA Director by President Bush, only to mysteriously resign shortly afterwards, no reason given) was one of those present at that infamous breakfast meeting at the Capitol, on the morning of September 11, 2001, with General Mahmoud Ahmad, head of the Pakistani ISI. This meeting was described by one press report as a “follow-up meeting” to that held in Pakistan in late August.

No objection from me on his opposition to an Intel "Czar" but in this 15 minute YouYube video, Porter Goss Ex CIA Director on Camp Ashraf Paris 20 Jan 2012, Goss pushes for the delisting of the MEK/Mujahedeen-e-Kalq as an "Iranian Dissident" terror group as if they're more like displaced refugees and wonders why they were being listed as terrorists. Having been in Intel, Americans might expect he'd know that they not only participated in the 1979 U.S. Embassy takeover in Tehran, among other notorieties, but have also killed Americans. He mentions Camp Ashraf in Iraq -- a compound where thousands of them have prospered as a protected class. They even have their own lobbyists to campaign in America on their behalf and against Iran. One of their leaders has the Hebraic name of Maryam and this is a description of their compound as reported at the site of Zionist Daniel Pipes:

It has shops, a swimming pool, an ice cream store, a bakery and a soda factory that makes a cola-and orange-flavored drink locals call Ashraf Cola.

Other reporters speak of a park with an artificial lake, sculptures, etc. But a New York Times article about the documentary, Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers (2006) reports this:

outsourced food services that allow Halliburton to charge soldiers $45 for a six-pack of soda.

Soda said in that movie to be made locally; most likely in the MEK's Camp Ashraf. More on that issue and connection probability in the first 4 minutes of this 7.5 minute YouTube video:

My own government hates me, and all I can do is laugh about it. F**k em!

America's real government is the Constitution, not the Secessionist transients who don't work for it but against it. I think you can be assured that it doesn't hate you. ;)

in this 15 minute YouYube video, Porter Goss Ex CIA Director on Camp Ashraf Paris 20 Jan 2012, Goss pushes for the delisting of the MEK/Mujahedeen-e-Kalq

Excerpts from a mild and stunted report on the MEK's terrorism:

Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) - The Investigative Project on Terrorism

A Marxist element of the MEK murdered several of the Shah's U.S. security advisers prior to the Islamic Revolution, and the group helped guard the U.S. Embassy after Islamic students seized it in 1979.

During the 1970s, the MEK killed U.S. military personnel and U.S. civilians working on defense projects in Tehran and supported the takeover in 1979 of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran.

And there begins the Iran-Contra saga, basically, that factors into the Philip Marshall case, along with Barry Seal and Porter Goss of Operation 40.

COVER UP: Behind the Iran-Contra Affair -- YouTube, 1:12:23

At 11:05, Reagan deal with Iran before 1980 election to send money and arms there in exchange for Iran agreeing to delay the release of our 52 hostages an additional 76 days; Reagan's campaign was afraid Carter would successfully bring them home [what was called the October Surprise] and win the election -- Barbara Honegger, member of Reagan-Bush campaign in 1980

56 hostages taken captive in 1979; 52? released after 14 months on the day of Ronald Reagan's inauguration

At 14:34, Former President of Iran, Bani Sadr -- docs showing written orders for shipment of American parts and weapons to Iran through an Israeli owned company.

More Americans were kidnapped during Reagan's Presidency.

At 15:58, Jerry Levin allegedly taken hostage in Lebanon in March of 1984 and held for 7 months, then allowed to escape after his wife's negotiations with the Syrian government. She claims the Reagan agenda was to Iran.

At 17:13-17:36, Sis Levin (wife of alleged hostage Jerry Levin) says:

"Many of us think, in looking at it, that if there had not been hostages, they would've had to have been created because, if the agenda to get arms to Iran were discovered, the only thing the American people would take as an excuse would be the very human element of a very human President weeping over hostages."

At 17:36-18:00, Honegger claims the Reagan-Bush administration was allied with the Ayatolla Kohmeini regime from the beginning and behind the scenes because Reagan feared a Soviet invasion of Iran.

[My note: the Ayatolla was reportedly a British citizen who lived in France for some time]

At 18:00, Ollie North states that he and Director Casey thought using "the Ayatolla's money" to support the Nicaraguan resistance was a right idea.

Bad math here...

I'm more of the opinion that it was due to the aftermath of misdirection about it by Porter Goss.

Porter Goss Ex CIA Director on Camp Ashraf Paris 20 Jan 2012

This porter goss guy is quite a piece of work. That video should be seen right before or after the pentagon video:

It's more than a bit interesting that this guy, the co-chair of the original 911 investigation- and the co-sponsor of the patriot act, was meeting with the pakistani ex-ISI chief that financed the hijacker of flt 77--on the morning of 911.

But the people that bring it up are "conspiracy theorists". Punks like this Porter Goss eat decent people for breakfast.

You seem to have changed your views of the case quite a bit

actually the first thing that I thought when I read the headline was - here's another anti-depressant caused murder/mayhem incident.

Then as I read more, it became even more curious. But really, if someone was trying to silence him this was a very dumb way to do it.

The Sheriff's report was pretty convincing- if he really did buy that particular brand of bullet, and he's on tape, and they found those clothes, etc etc etc, and combine all that with antidepressants mixed with other drugs, well- unless someone comes out with a more credible theory, for now I'm going with the Sheriff's report- being well aware it could be chock full of lies or half truths.

If there weren't specific cases documented that are identical (more or less) to Phillip Marshall, I'd probably be more skeptical. See; Annex- the legal cases at this link: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1564177/

In 1998, a new family doctor, unaware of this adverse reaction to fluoxetine, prescribed paroxetine 20 mg to DS, for what was diagnosed as an anxiety disorder. Two days later having had, it is believed, two doses of medication, DS using a gun put three bullets each through the heads of his wife, his daughter who was visiting, and his nine-month-old granddaughter before killing himself.

If you read that paper at the NIH it's clear that if he was taking antidepressants it is not unusual for him to do what he did.

Tomorrow, everything could be different!

Yes. Will try to post more about that later. For now, at 2:05 of that video, Goss says that he got to the office of the Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert, just as the plane hit the Pentagon; and he [talks at 1:53] of wanting the Capitol evacuated. From that statement about the timing of his arrival at Hastert's office, it can be presumed that the clip of him in a press interview at the beginning of the video (with booming and plane sound effects) was not filmed during the Pentagon attack.

Speaker Hastert makes a critical statement at 2:47 about adjourning the House. The question is, in the paniced conditions of the day, did he adjourn it sine die? -- "without appointing a day on which to appear or assemble again."[2]; Reference: Adjournment sine die. That reference also notes an adjournment sine die of the 110th Congress in 2008. What's remarkable about that and possibly the 9/11 adjournment by Hastert is that to adjourn the legislature sine die with no appointed time to reassemble has the connotation/effect of dissolving Congress, not just dismissing it for a recess.

Edited sentence 3 of paragraph 1.

Empire, Energy and Al-Qaeda: The Anglo-American Terror Network

Bernard Lewis was a former British intelligence officer and historian who is infamous for explaining Arab discontent towards the West as not being rooted in a reaction toward imperialism, but rather that it is rooted in Islam; in that Islam is incompatible with the West, and that they are destined to clash, using the term, “Clash of Civilizations.” For decades, “Lewis played a critical role as professor, mentor, and guru to two generations of Orientalists, academics, U.S. and British intelligence specialists, think tank denizens, and assorted neoconservatives.” In the 1980s, Lewis “was hobnobbing with top Department of Defense officials.”[27] He was also one of the originators, along with Brzezinski, of the “Arc of Crisis” strategy employed in the late 1970s.

Lewis wrote a 1992 article in Foreign Affairs, the journal of the Council on Foreign Relations, titled, “Rethinking the Middle East.” In this article, Lewis raised the prospect of another policy towards the Middle East in the wake of the end of the Cold War and beginnings of the New World Order, “which could even be precipitated by fundamentalism, is what has of late become fashionable to call ‘Lebanonization.’ Most of the states of the Middle East – Egypt is an obvious exception – are of recent and artificial construction and are vulnerable to such a process. If the central power is sufficiently weakened, there is no real civil society to hold the polity together, no real sense of common national identity or overriding allegiance to the nation-state. The state then disintegrates – as happened in Lebanon – into a chaos of squabbling, feuding, fighting sects, tribes, regions and parties.”[28]

1. Barry Seal and Porter Goss

2. Iran-Contra Affair

1. Old hand CIA operatives here.

2. They were running Iran-Contra out of the airport at Mena, Arkansas when Bill Clinton was governor. He likely knew this was going on since I doubt they would run an operation in his state without informing him they were doing so. ;)
