Getting in touch with your sensitive side, eh? Hope you'll like this one.

This came off her first album, which she recorded when she was 19.

“I believe that there will ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those who do the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice, and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the system of exploitation. I believe that there will be that kind of clash, but I don’t think it will be based on the color of the skin…” -Malcolm X

Turn down the lights
Turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head...

On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Godfrey Smith: Mike, I wouldn't worry. Prosperity is just around the corner.
Mike Flaherty: Yeah, it's been there a long time. I wish I knew which corner.

Thanks for that Lod. I had read other bios on her but that one was especially nice; she was an incredibly talented person.

Sensitive is my middle name, ahaha. Good song, thanks for sharing.

Interesting bio. Seems she became a "switch hitter" late in life.

I'd never heard of her, but it was fascinating to learn of her and her work...I had no idea.

Yeah. I suspect some women find men to be a very big disappointment; instead of just accepting us as we are, giving us a peck on the cheek and a roll in the hay, they want us to be, well, women.

At this stage of my life's game, I've come to believe that if you can hit it outta the park, I don't really care which side of the box you're standing in.

That was real nice. I don't ever remember BR looking that young.

Bruce Hornsby did a nice job on the piano too.

I didn't either, I did a google images search to check. I don't think that was her. I looked at wikipedia, she's 63 now.

She's a pretty hot 63 year old.

(Had to make that easy for Lod.)
