Anybody who has a problem with truth or reality, say it now. I want a vote here.

If you wish to believe whatever you're told, whatever you're fed, do it.

If you want information beyond that, let me know.

The vote here is to decide whether I should leave this forum or not.

I'm sick of dealing with two faced people, and government shills. Both are the same sort of person, although one gets paid for it while the other one might just get a "promise" of future reward.

I'm giving it 48 hours.

At the end of that time I'll tally the vote and take it like a man.

No, just don't take disagreements so personally. You saw the abuse I sometimes took on El Pee. I just blew it off and refused to let it bother me.

There is a concerted effort by shills on this forum to bring it to it's knees.

You've seen the antics of BeAChooser, yukon, ByteShredder, and others.

Well look at what's going on today..

If people wish to follow the pack of wolves, let them.

If they don't wish to do that then I can help, if they want it..

If not, then oh well. It's very time consuming and thankless, so why should I give a fuck if others don't, in fact, some people who I THOUGHT were on the side of truth turn around and accuse ME of being their enemy?

I agree with that. Intelligent people reading this forum won't be persuaded by nonsense, they want a reasoned and intelligent argument. You provide one and they will listen, you don't and they probably won't listen.

I guess I'm not totally convinced that it is not just conflicting world views and hence viewpoints. However, I also do not post with anywhere near the frequency I used to. Forums, have largely been negated as a means to reach a broad audience with the truth. LF was over run with trolls and then shut down, El Pee and Freeptardia were simply subverted with money. So, it goes for any forum that gains much notoriety. However, we still have a reasonably astute crowd here, and while christine does not ride close herd she is, I am certain, aware of what goes on at her forum. So, it is not so much I don't care it is that I trust christine's judgment.

I see this forum as similar to people you meet in everyday life. I have run into enough a-holes in real life to know that it is next to impossible to avoid them, because they are everywhere, including the church I go to. I also know that no one is perfect, some don't mean to offend, and may not even realize they are offending you, but they still offend you.

You may be right, there might be trolls here, it wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last time I suspect, but I am not going to stop posting here because of their presence and I hope you won't either. You can bozo them and not have to ever see their posts again.

i agree with you. it isn't just forums. it's all mediums. however, there was a time when most of us here were friends. while there's always been disagreements, there was never this degree of disrespect and animous towards one another.

i always felt like 4um was a place of refuge and camaraderie, but i'm not feeling that anymore.

I can see why forums that become popular need moderators. I think this forum has been flagged by the PTB as one that needs "scrutiny", and now we have those who act like those we've seen on past forums.

They accuse US of being all sorts of things, yet by viewing their standard behavior, it's apparent what THEY'RE all about...

I've had a few drinks and am speaking my mind more than usual, if you couldn't tell. I just don't like to be gang attacked then portrayed as the "shill", when it's those doing the attacking who are.

I find this ultimatum stuff complete childish bullshit.

You have no right to deliver an ultimatum to anyone.

You have made so much trouble for so many....

Your motivation is what?

You address me for why?

DO I REALLY NEED TO ASK?

No, I don't need to ask but I did ask.

And all I got as an answer is another question.

Do you fear strait answers?

No don't answer... I don't care.

I don't need anymore answers from someone like you FL.

I will say this, I know of few that threaten the president openly and nothing happens to them. One of them is named Adam Kokesh, the other, titorite. However, now Adam is in jail on trumped up charges, so I guess something finally did happen to him. I just got to wonder why they never made a move against him for the real charges of threatening the president instead of the baloney they are charging him with now?

i'm seriously considering pulling the plug.

For me it is still a meeting place where I visit to talk to people whom I like and have grown to respect - even when I do not agree.

The noise, of late, has been somewhat of an irritation, but I think it is only so noticeable because a lot of the old regulars are not visiting as often.

However, it has always been your forum and your decision. I'll be self serving and say I hope you do not because I still like coming here for news, info, and the exchange of ideas. There are a lot of people here, still, whom I would miss, and I think that there is still camaraderie.

Although, full disclosure, I have enjoyed 'bot tossing, and troll trashing, as a sport, one of the things I have enjoyed, and why I have stayed, is the ability to hold a conversation for longer than ten posts without a designated disrupter, such as yuktard, diving in to ensure that no intelligent conversation took place. The recent kerfluffle here has been nowhere near the level I have experienced at at least 3 other forums I've taken part in.

I think the biggest argument in favor of a place like this is the exchange of ideas and viewpoints even if tempers sometimes get frayed. Of course it also annoys the PTB to have us lowly proletarians actually engaging in substantive discussion.

While forums may not have the wide dissemination they did a few years ago they are still a powerful weapon against ignorance and disinformation. A lot of lurkers and passer's by still stop, look, and even if they don't take part it forces them to think. The only thing I have against ongoing alley fights is that it detracts and gives a false impression of the value of debate and exchange.

We are ALL strong-willed people. That is what sets us apart. It can be difficult to know when to retract the fangs though.

There are a few that take things personally. They're easy enough to recognize.
