Political activist Adam Kokesh was released from jail this afternoon.

Kokesh was arrested last Saturday for exercising his First Amendment right at a protest. He called for a “new American revolution” to begin on July 4 with a march on all 50 state capitols.

The release was announced on his Facebook page with the following message and photograph:

Released 130524 with felony charges reduced to citations which I refused to sign. Played hardball. Won. Talk to you Monday.

Adam K is Jewish. Is he part of a plot to 'stir up' the populous to 'kick start' a revolution against the Government? ps I like Adam and think he is sincere. How about you?(1 image)

That's not the only thing troubling about him. How did he get away with threating Romney's life and I hear the President's as well? Where does he get money, because I don't think he has a job.

I enjoyed his speech on the Capitol lawn in 2008, even though it was extremely hot that day. I didn't know who he was then, but he delivered one heck of a speech.

I really hope he is a genuine freedom fighter, but I have some serious questions about that. Nevertheless, until he does something crazy, I see no harm in supporting him.

Same thoughts as mine.

I wasn't there to hear his speech but I listened to it on YouTube, he came across as another JFK just about. Just hope he's for real.

Most of my generation were raised to be fervent "patriots." It's difficult to judge another's patriotism or their determination towards undoing the mess they've inherited because others just don't seem to care.

That being said, I am sometimes disappointed in how quickly some alleged "patriots" badmouth others that are actually doing something about the sad conditions we're living under that are so far from what we have considered American ideals.
