"Continuing this action will serve no useful purpose, and likely will promote public perception of Jesse Ventura as someone who has little or no regard for the feelings and welfare of surviving family members of deceased war heroes, a bottom-feeding scumbag"

He would have sued the Iron Sheik for applying the camel clutch and then saying what a weak little girl Jesse was.

This is pathetic how he is suing a widow, someone that evidently wasn't involved. What a useless maggot he is.

Ventura would be wise to leave the grieving widow alone and instead pressure the movie studio producers and director to have an actor with no likeness to Ventura play the part of "Scruff Face". They are the deep pockets who have $ at risk, if they consciously chose an actor resembling Ventura without any proof except an allegation of a dead man.

Kyle did not reference Ventura directly in the book by using Ventura's real name.

Kyle identified Scruff Face as being Ventura in an interview after the book was published.

Ventura would be better to let Kyle's revelation in the interview die with Kyle.

Now people will be reminded of what Kyle alleged in the interview, if Ventura continues pressing his lawsuit against Kyle's widow.

I don't know what relief the suit seeks; it could be that Ventura just wants to clear his name.

Jesse loses no matter if he prevails in court, the court of public opinion will turn on him like a rabid pitbull.

Why?

And I doubt it.

Thanks.

If there were witnesses to the event that would testify that the event Kyle described never happened then Ventura has every right to sue. He has to sue the "Estate" since Kyle's dead.

Kyle was a cold blooded murderer so let's not go all soft. Ventura didn't marry the guy, Taya did, Ventura owes him or his estate nothing. The estate will profit from the book and if it's a lie then it's ill gotten gains to begin with not to mention Ventura's reputation has been damaged.

Strange times are these in which we live when old and young are taught in falsehood’s school. And the one man who dares to tell the truth is called at once a lunatic and fool.
