I'd go with a flat black, or if you wanted it to be really cool, a metal flake green or purple.
Nope, white like the inventors. And with tiny little swastikas on it for every lowlife killed.
I forgot to mention that is an alien weapon, created by seven-foot-tall aliens that look like insects. It turns out they are better than the average human even though they could squash us...like bugs.
