My father went to permanently live on Turtle Island last week. My mother went six weeks before that. Both went in their sleep, both went at home, and my sister found both.

My father got five extra years since he had a quintuple bypass, prostate cancer and diabetes. My mother got ten years extra because of breaking her hip twice and smoking for 60 years, so her blood vessels were almost clogged.

And I got lots of lots of stuff! My dad's Chevy Lumina, which cost $150 to fix a few problems, his tools, and two suitcases full of various stuff. I wish I had more parents so when they went I'd get their stuff, too!

Assuming this is true, and not just more of your general weirdness, sorry for your losses.

My Dad's been gone for close to three decades and I still miss him every day.

It's the bankers fault !

Your sister just happens to find both of them dead and you don't find that suspicious? Jeez! Hope they got a proper burial and not the standard flushing down the toilet.

Support bacteria.

Good thoughts, and best wishes.

My father got five years extra and my mother ten years, so I was barely bothered. Besides, they were pretty ancient, and the way it's supposed to be is that the parents go first, not the kids. So everything happened as it was supposed to.

We had them cremated and buried together. It's amazing how heavy ashes are.
