A North Carolina grand jury found that a man who shot four people at a Walmart in June targeted his victims because they were white. According to WRAL.com, a grand jury indicted Lakim Faust, 23, on Monday on 14 charges, including "four counts of attempted first-degree murder."
The indictments indicated that "Faust, who is black, picked out his victims based on their race," but the "documents didn't specify why Faust wanted to shoot white people."
According to WRAL.com, "three of the four people wounded in the shooting suffered permanent and debilitating injuries." Police eventually "seized computers and documents from Faust's home that showed he had a plan for the attack and wanted to shoot a large number of people."
