Airliner Shot Down By Russians; Where is America’s Leadership?

BIG_airplaneWhen World War II ended, few countries were left standing. Of the 61 countries involved, only three major powers were left and of those, Great Brittan was on her knees. Had it not been for American largess in giving “lend-lease” materials to Russia, the bear would probably have been destroyed as well.

Russia demanded a price for the blood of more than 5.7 million of her soldiers (66% of all nations’ casualties) who had died during that conflict. That price was control of everything in Europe from Berlin east. Few recognized it at the time, but that was the first sign of what was to come. For the next four and a half decades, the Soviet Union tried to extend her influence throughout the world; mostly by using surrogates to instigate violence.

World War II left the United States in a unique position, that of being the leader of the free world. We have proudly born that burden, acting as a protector for the weak and standing against the strong, especially those strong ones who wished to overrun the weak.

While many cynics have belittled our government’s intervention in the various wars we have been involved in, for the most part, the United States has fought in order to protect others, specifically from communism and other forms of tyrannical rule.

The Good Old Days Has Gone

That is, we have done so until now. Things have changed during the reign of our current president. Whereas the world has been used to looking at the United States as a strong supporter of righteousness, they are no longer sure of what to expect from us. No longer do America’s aircraft carriers appear off the shore of some distant land, warning other governments to behave or suffer the consequences of the most powerful military in the world. Now, they look at us and laugh.

The change in our military’s leadership; or rather, lack of leadership, has put the world in danger.

President Obama has gutted the military on several levels, removing over 200 top generals and admirals from their positions. He has replaced them with ones who were more “politically correct” and willing to fire on American citizens.

In addition, he has turned our military into a social experiment, focusing on giving to some people special rights and taking rights away from the average soldier. Adding to all this, he has gutted their budget, expecting them to operate on less and less every year.

The world sees this. They see that the United States is no longer taking an active role in keeping peace around the world. It is clear that we are no longer drawing that line in the sand, requiring that countries respect others’ territorial boundaries. Essentially, they see that we have become weak. Whereas enemies trembled in fear of our military capability, they now shake with laughter over our leadership.

The recent shoot-down of a Malaysian airline near the Ukrainian and Russian border can be seen as evidence of this. Throughout the Cold War, the United States held back Russian/Soviet aggression. Since the Soviet Union fell, that hasn’t been much of an issue; but now that Russia has an aggressive president in office, they are flexing their muscles. First by invading the Crimea and now by shooting down an unarmed civilian transport plane, with no provocation.

It appears that it is time for the United States to stand up and tell the bully to back off once again. So, what does Obama do? He makes a 30 second statement before one of his fundraising speeches, saying that “It looks like it may be a terrible tragedy.” That’s it. That’s all the supposed leader of the free world could say about an act of aggression that killed 298 innocent civilians.

This airplane was not shot down by Ukrainian rebels. It was flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet when it was shot down. That eliminates any possibility of handheld missile systems, as well as many vehicular missile systems. The only way that plane could have been shot down was as a deliberate act of aggression by the Russian military. Yet all Obama could say was a wimpy, “it looks like a tragedy.”

(President Ronald Reagan’s address to the nation on the Soviet attack on a Korean airliner, in 1983. Video first seen on Reagan Foundation.)

The United States has many enemies around the world; North Korea, Iran, China and maybe even Russia all count as enemies. While we have trade relations with China, which has never made them friends. If they were friends, why would their military cyber-command be working so hard to penetrate our military and government computer systems? No, trade for them is merely a way for them to use us to finance the growth of their military.

Once again, rather than taking a strong stand to protect the weak and innocent, Obama has sent a clear message to the world that the United States is no longer the superpower that we used to be. He has shown time and time again that we won’t do anything, even when our allies are attacked. He is all but inviting our enemies to take decisive military action, both abroad and here on our own shores.

On top of the invasion that Obama has engineered on our southern border and his constant overtures to Muslim terrorists, I guess this shouldn’t surprise me. D’Souza said it in 2016: Obama’s America… Obama’s goal is to destroy the U.S. A.

but now that Russia has an aggressive president in office, they are flexing their muscles. First by invading the Crimea and now by shooting down an unarmed civilian transport plane, with no provocation.

And these are exactly the sort of wild assed lies that are going to start WWIII.

It's pure BS. Putin has NOT attacked any nation, nor has the Russian Federation attacked any nation. Russia has simply rebuilt its military to a level necessary for national defense, and rejuvinated its economy by eliminating a large degree of corruption which was present during its early days after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

First off, WE financed the overthrow of Russia's ally, the legitimately elected government of Ukraine. We did so by providing 5 billion dollars to neo-Nazi and fascist groups who despised Russians, even though the majority of Ukraines in the Eastern parts are of Russian heritage.

Secondly, Crimea VOTED to succeed from Ukraine after Nazi thugs came into power whom we financed to overthrow the government. The people there did not wish to live under such a regime, and since most of them were of Russian ethnicity, they petitioned the Russian Federation to be accepted into Russia. The Russian Parliament, the Duma, accepted their request and formerly annexed Crimea as part of Russia.

It was not Putin's doing, it was that of Washington and Brussels since it was THEY who destablized the country.

Russia already HAD tens of thousands of armed forces present in Crimea as that is where the Russian Black Sea fleet is based, Sevastopol, Crimea. So there was no invasion, Russian forces were ALREADY present there. Russian troops as well as local self defense forces took control of the region once it became clear that NATO had its eyes on the naval base and Kiev has its eyes on wiping out the Russian heritage of the region.

And now this fiasco of the Malaysian airliner. For one, there WOULD be no war zone right now if Washington and Brussels had not financed and supported the violent overthrow of a legitimate government friendly with Russia.

The PEOPLE of East Ukraine are fighting for their independence against the coup government, while Kiev brands them as terrorists, killing innocent civilians with artillery shells and aerial attack while pretending they're "protecting them from terrorists".

Then we have Kiev directing the airliner to fly straight over the war zone, where that in itself is more than reckless given the state of war and the fact that planes have been shot down in that area in recent weeks.

Next we have the Ukraine government INSTANTLY blaming Russia while the bodies were still falling out of the sky, without zero facts available as to what actually happened.

Then we have Obama, Kerry, and the other clowns shaking their fists at Putin, blaming him as if he's somehow responsible.

We come to find out EVERY piece of "evidence" provided by the Ukraine government is amaturely fabricated video clips placed on YouTube, easily debunked as fake, such as a claimed Russian Buk launcher making its way back to Russia, where in fact it was a Ukraine Buk launcher moving through a town 100 miles or so further into the Ukraine in territory held by the Ukraine government since May.

The only HARD evidence which exist are the radar tapes and audio transcripts from the Ukraine Air Traffic Control tower, yet Kiev siezed those tapes immediately and they are now either being erased or "updated" to show what they want them to show. If the radar data showed what they claim, then they would have already made that data available to the international community.

The US government still refuses to make public its so-called "evidence" in the form of satellite imagery which they claim shows the missile being launched from inside rebel held territory. Well let's see if if it does in fact exist, and hopefully before it's Photoshopped to make it "correct".

Perhaps the reason Obama hasn't released the imagery is that it proves something completely contrary to what the US is claiming...

Whistleblower to Former AP Reporter: U.S. Satellite Images Show Ukrainian Troops Shooting Down MH17

So let's stop provoking the people of Russia, stop demonizing their president, and let's demand that our government come clean. I'm sure they'll deny everything till hell freezes over, but this maniacal march to WWIII needs to be stopped, and it will not stop if we accept lies as truth.

The only way that plane could have been shot down was as a deliberate act of aggression by the Russian military.

NOBODY is claiming that the Russian military shot this plane down other than extremely ignorant people who have no idea in the world about what they speak.

First off, the Buk missile system is an old Soviet era anti-aircraft system, obsolete in today's world. Russia has many vastly superior systems such as the S-300 and S-400 systems to defend Russian airspace.

Being that NATO is threatening Russia in the Ukraine region, I'm sure Russia has its newest systems along its border with Europe and the Ukraine.

If a missile had been fired from Russian territory then the US would have instantly been jumping up and down about it, showing satellite evidence of the missile launch.

Even the US government claims the missile was fired from within Ukraine territory, so that makes it a moot point.

And WHY on earth would Russia, who is currently trying to diffuse the crisis in Ukraine with peace talks, and is building partnerships with other nations across the world such as India, China, Brazil, Iran, and other nations who do not wish to be joined at the hip to Washington, launch a missile at a civilian airliner on a standard route, where many other civilian aircraft fly similar routes every day over Ukraine and into Russia?

It seems the author is a propaganda peddler, possibly paid by Washington or some other party seeking to twist opinion agaist Russia and in favor of baseless US claims.

It is clear that we are no longer drawing that line in the sand, requiring that countries respect others’ territorial boundaries.

No, instead we are DESTROYING other nations and their boundries, while allowing our southern boundry to be violated daily by hordes of invaders.

Russia did not do the shoot-down.

Hmmm, never heard that name before, had to look it up.

Ronald Reagan was known as Ronaldo Magnus? Weird.

But yeah, let's bomb the world and wave our flags while praying to Jesus, it's as American as apple pie...
