Surprisingly enough I'd have to partly side with the cops on this one. But I still believe they should not have used a gun. If the facts remain that Brown was indeed unarmed, this may not be over too soon. True, he committed a criminal act in a convenience store of petty theft and then shoves the clerk (owner) aside in his attempt to escape. He ran out of the store refusing to pay for the swisher sweet cigars. Upon the cops catching up to him, a physical struggle took place and this wound up on the streets.

Ferguson Police Chief Reveals Name Of Officer Who Fatally Shot Michael Brown - Darren Wilson

Posted By: Susoni [Send E-Mail] Date: Friday, 15-Aug-2014 11:05:53

Ferguson police have released the name of the officer who fatally shot 18-year- old Michael Brown last Saturday.

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson revealed Friday morning that Officer Darren Wilson fatally shot the unarmed African-American teen. Wilson has been with the Ferguson Police Department for the past six years and previously had no disciplinary action taken against him.

Wilson has been on administrative leave since the shooting.

Jackson added that Wilson was treated for injuries that occurred on Saturday.

Jackson said Wilson, along with other officers, were called to the area after a 911 call reporting a “strong-arm robbery” at a nearby convenience store. (Quick Trip)

A police report indicates that Brown was a “primary suspect” in the robbery that took place the day he was fatally shot. According to the report, Brown got physical with the convenience story (The Quick Trip they set fire to with employees still inside) employee over cigars he was trying to steal.

Brown also has several priors, in the city of St Ann, Mo. Felony assault and armed robbery.

Sus, he also had prior arrests in St Ann Missouri for theft and assault with bodily harm. This was a liquor store i think. Some sort of convenience store. Then they moved on to Quick Trip.

Sorry but I disagree. Trayvon Martin was an innocent bystander whose life was taken unlawfully.

In this case with Michael Brown being a primary suspect in petty theft, (not armed robbery as the media hypes it to be), it is my understanding that upon Brown being apprehended by police, he attacked them and they reacted by shooting him. Because he both resisted arrest and attacked the officer(s), what they should have done is use a tazer gun instead of the use deadly force with a gun that shoots bullets. Remember that Brown was not armed with a deadly weapon but he did assault one of the officers.

Both were guilty and I'm glad both are dead. It's a better world.

By they way, strong-arm robbery is not "petty theft."

Remember that Brown was not armed with a deadly weapon...

Wait for the facts to come out before you make sweeping statements.

Brown was a gang member. Often they are armed with guns or knives - just sayin'...

Also he was in the company of another gang member - Dorian Johnson ( key eye witness - har, har, har) - who may have been armed and flashed a gun at the officer making the officer think Brown was armed as well.

292 lbs of flesh coming at you in a rage might be considered life threatening.

TM was a fully grown man who made the mistake of repeatedly slamming the head of another individual on the concrete who was armed with a pistol.

This was a fatal tactical error on TM's part.

Was this 'Dorian Johnson' the same dude that was interviewing the State police as I watching unfold during State Police Officer Ron Johnson speech to the community? If this is the case, why wasn't this Dorian Johnson arrested and charged?

I have. I went to high school in Florida with dudes that were 6'3" and their shoesize was 13. And this dude was just age 14! I remember this dude well because I played football with him in junior high and we shared a weight room where we all benched weights prior to setting out to the P.E. field.

Maybe so as not to cause more riots at this time?

Dorian Johnson has an attorney representing him fyi.

Something must have caused him to hire an attorney.

Help with what? That there is a black man down on the streets? That does not explain who that guy was in the video image.

It does not convict him of anything so to speak at this point.

However, without hammering the point to death for those who are visually impaired, the similarity of dress and somewhat unusual combination of apparel strongly suggest that this is the same individual given the assumption that the security cam still can be dated and timed just previous to the event in question.

Does that help?

No it does not help and nor does it provide ample proof of his "unusual manner of dress" as you call it. Remember that images taken from a video camera from a crime scene can be cropped and tampered with. It is why the video provides proof because images taken from that video can be tampered with to suppress and/or withhold information from the pubic.

"Proof" will be in found the preponderance of the evidence, and the chain of evidence will be examined and challenged in front of a jury. Only time will tell where that leads.

The stills presented here are part of a police report, as far as we can tell at this point, and will have to be sworn to on pain of perjury.

Let's not jump to any hasty conclusions at this point. This story is still evolving. ; ]

Now you COULD have made that up out of whole cloth, but I rather doubt you did judging by what I know of your posting habits.

That's that the weakness of the interwebs. Just yesterday "Anonymous" outed the name of the officer who shot Michael Brown on Twitter, and it turned out to be the name of the wrong guy.

The strength of the internet is that "a lie has short legs," and it's hard to maintain faulty representations for very long.

As with the Trayvon mess, the truth dribbles out and bit by bit a picture emerges.

Trayvon Martin was an innocent bystander whose life was taken unlawfully.

We will just have to agree to disagree. Trayvon Martin was a thug and anyone who saw his posts on his fb page would know that. He was certainly not the choir boy some folks tried to portray him as.

I imagine that the QT shop clerk who was being physically harrassed by what appears to be Michael Brown will be called as a prosecution witness.

The video clips appear to be from the QT store's security camera. Unlikely they were "doctored."

The tape will also need to be verified as being an accurate recording of events either by the shop clerk or by the store manager or both.

I don't know if you were purposely playing Devil's Advocate in your conversation with randge. If that's not the case, I'd suggest that you might want to get your eyes tested. Seriously! It looked pretty clear to me that it was Michael Brown in the video clip photos that randge posted.
