(Begin)

This is just a response to an article about Indy that I read not long ago. It holds true and is done by design. This is St.Louis not to many years from now.

Here is my "Rebel's Guide to the Collapse of an American City". This applies to every city everywhere in the U.S.:

1. Court orders schools desegregated;

2. Crime and violence increase in schools;

3. First wave of white flight takes place;

4. White flight results in increased percentage of africans in the schools;

5. Africans gain confidence as numbers increase and begin agitating for special black treatment in schools. Black dances, black student government, black counselors, liaisons, ombudsmen, etc. to deal with "black concerns";

6. Second wave of white flight takes place;

7. Sell-off from white property owners to africans takes place as property values start to plunge;

8. Violence increases in the schools and neighborhoods as africans become the majority;

9. As the violence escalates, africans blame white racism among police and local government and demand black officers and a black Police Chief who "understands" the black community.

10. The city appoints an african Police Chief in hopes that the violence will begin to subside as a result.*

11. Violence explodes under the incompetence of the black Police Chief who invariably looks the other way and dabbles in trendy, expensive programs that avoid dealing with the actual black violence problem;

12. The final wave of white flight takes place. After this, the only whites who remain are the Grand Torino-like, stubborn old people;

13. African political control is cemented and an african mayor is elected;

14. The city descends into chaos under a majority black city government and spirals into filth, poverty, disease, crime and bankruptcy.

15. Whites without children gentrify 5% of the city, normally a historic district that attracts artists, gays and grads. NY Times writes an article about how the city is experiencing a comeback without stating the obvious which is that it is only in the white-invested area.

Indy is near the end. A white democrat mayor is only a temporary condition until a black mayor takes power.

*It's worth noting that the black police chief that Indianapolis hired is from the Baltimore P.D. BALTIMORE. One of the biggest crap holes in America. And, on top of that, his job there was to be the african police agitator. Representing the gripes and complaints of black officers. There were over 1,000 police in Indianapolis they could have chosen to lead the department. Why did they choose a racial instigator from a violent cesspool as Chief? And his 1st job when he came to Indy? Visit with the 10 Point Coalition of angry black pastors. His 2nd job? To testify in court for sentence reduction of a black convicted sex offender. These were his 1ST two actions. And it's been straight down hill from there. Anyone NOT see this coming??

99.9999% of those folks don't have a snowball's chance in this life.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Thanks for the link, Dak.

Informative article. I didn't know that Ferguson has a middle class area of single family owned homes. Interesting that some of these Ferguson home owners were unaware of the Section 8 ( ahem affordable housing apartment blocks) on the edge of town. The St. Louis Dispatch reporter implies that it's a bad thing that City Hall has "caged in" apartment residents with barricades and gates and 1 street access. But can you blame City Hall for doing this? City officials don't want crime to spread to other parts of town which would chase away property owners who actually property taxes that support city services. As it is the Police Chief says his department is strapped for offering salaries that are competitive with what other jurisdictions with better tax rolls can offer. And obviously the Police Chief is contending with a huge turn over of cops - he can't keep the ones he has (re: criticism from some apartment residents that they don't get to know police officers anymore on a first name basis - regardless I thought the tenement resident's criticism was strange - hello! who gets to know police officers on a first name basis unless they're visiting your Section 8 housing often and regularly?). Also the Section 8 developer and its mouthpiece were as one would expect - slum landlord who made a ton of $ on taxpayers' backs courtesy of HUD. And there's of that to come to neighborhoods USA wide in the near future if Obama has his way empowering HUD and the DOJ to work together as one big sledge hammer to force low income housing to be built in the midst of middle class towns by doing away with R1 zoning restraints.

snip from the article that were eye openers for me:

Ashley Nowden, 29, had lived in Northwinds for six years before she hastily moved out in January after being burglarized three separate times. She connects the rise of crimes to an increase in low-income renters.

“It is a younger crowd now,” she said.

Maine-based Eagle Point Companies bought Northwinds in 2005 and poured $12.5 million into refurbishing the complex, thanks in part to low-income housing credits. Part of the deal was that to be eligible to live there, residents can earn no more than 60 percent of the median income in the area.

Northwinds is one of 31 affordable housing properties like it that Eagle Point owns across the U.S.

Laura Burns, president of the company, said she thought crime was under control at Northwinds, but she acknowledged residents tend to be nomadic.

“We have a lot of turnover,” she said. “Some of our residents unfortunately are not in a position to pay the rent for whatever reason.”

Louis Smith, 68, sees the sprawling apartments as yesterday’s high-rise public housing complexes, such as Pruitt-Igoe.

“After they tore these projects down, a lot of people started coming everywhere, everywhere, man,” said Smith, a retired McDonnell Douglas machinist who moved out of Canfield Green in the 1980s to buy a nearby home.

He said his wife, who is involved with the neighborhood watch, has complained to city leaders about unchaperoned and unruly children who come over from the apartments and destroy property.

“The women work,” he said of apartment residents. “The guys stay home, smoke dope and walk around harassing people.

“You can’t say nothing to them,” he added. “They’ll cuss you out.”

...Hill only moved into the housing complex because she qualified for subsidies. There was a $99 move-in special at the time, just as there is now.

“If I could, I would move out,” she said.

Great comment on towns like Ferguson

Ferguson is a prime example of the racial strife which has been brewing in this country. ;)
