Finklestein is spot on. We live in a secular world condition with respect to international law. Nowhere else has it been determined that a land claim based upon Bible verses is legitimate and should be accepted and supported by the international community.
I am a Bible student and am not denying the Biblical commentary but instead am simply calling attention to the most atheistic people on earth utilizing an unwitnessed claim made some 3500 years ago by an invisible God [that these atheists deny even exists] to a man and his descendants (of which most are known as the LOST TRIBES of ISRAEL) to mass murder and genocide a people that can prove their residence for at least 1100 years.
Thank you, no1222. I've never seen any valid evidence of Jehovah so the claims are even more irrelevant to me. I have no issue with a strong people asserting themselves to seize land. My problem with Israel is that this was a weak people who tricked Britain and the United States into providing them with land and assisted in crushing their enemies numerous times. Without us they would be nothing, and for what?
There was nothing in this for the UK or the US. Nothing at all. It nets an unknown loss because of all the hate it reaps. Now we have even more trouble because of them.
As far as solutions agreeable to most, I find myself agreeing with Finkelstein: the matter is obscured by religious jargon and outlandish political contortions. The "unique case" for Jewish suffering is rotten to the core, and reeks of a feeble people who cannot change their ways to adapt to the world around them.
Kudos to Norman Finkelstein for his honesty, integrity, and courage. He is what he is, but he is a friend to the world. As he claims, agreeable solutions are there, if only his people would reach out and take them.
I have a theory that there exists a perpetual secret agreement that was made between Haym Solomon and George Washington when Solomon lent a large sum to Washington for his army. I think Solomon was a front man for the Rothschild banking family.
