"Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Coldplay currently make up the National Football League's short list of who they want to play the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. But in a twist, the NFL has asked the candidates to pay the league to get the job. So who's bigger? The Super Bowl or these high-profile artists? "

Is there a limit on wanting more money?

I read on here where the redskins came on the field with there hands up as a show of support in a very one sided media feeding frenzy.

Yet the nfl took a team away from a man talking privately to his hooker about white meat or dark at her thanksgiving.

The nfl is programming. Sport is something they distract you with.

Will the artists play without pay.

If I were Coldplay, I would tell the NFL to pound sand.

Sport is something they distract you with.

As long as it's recognized as such, a distraction now and then is fine. Something to take the edge off of all the craziness and morbidity.

If the NFL were lining up real A-list talent, they should expect some compensation. But for the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry and Gwyneth Paltrow's ex, the Superbowl would certainly serve to elevate their profile.

The free PR should be their reward.

Pay to play, or play for free?

I'd consider playing for free assuming that expenses were paid. Otherwise yeah, tell the NFL to pound sand.

Not only fine but necessary.

" If the NFL were lining up real A-list talent " From what I've seen at halftime the last few years I don't see where thats ever been a concern for them. They force feed what they want you to "think". Like them.

I would tell the NFL to pound sand, me to.

pound sand bump

Play some Don Meridith/Howard Cosell exchanges for some great entertainment.

The NFL jewish mafia finally figured out that they can charge musicians to entertain fans who have payed exorbitant $$$ to show up. What a scam......

Cold Play? They should be paying us for listening. Katy Perry would be worth looking at, but I'd have to mute the tube.
