The Geigerrig is a hydration backpack with some pretty unique features that set it apart from the rest of its class.
First of all, its “engine” (aka the hydration bladder) has an attached, hand operated valve which allows you to pressurizes the pack, allowing the water to spray from the bladder.
This is a huge benefit that keeps you from having to suck on a nasty bite valve. This gives you a huge benefit that no other hydration pack offers!
You can share your water with others , including your pets (fido needs water too!), without compromising your personal sanitation.
It also allows you the added benefit of being able to spray off any wounds and even wash your hands when out in the wild.
Another innovation that Geigerrig offers that you won’t find with your standard , off the rack hydration backpack, is the ability to clean the bladder WITHOUT any nasty chemicals …or that weird tool that looks like something I scrub my toilets with!
It’s 100% dishwasher safe. You simply remove the bladder from the hydation backpack and and toss it in the top rack.

Durability
A lot of survival products make big claims about their ruggedness. The Geigerrig is no different, but they let you judge for yourself by providing videos of the durability tests they perform on the pack.

Usage
So what about this product sets it apart from other hydration backpacks? We mentioned that it is pressurized and can spray from the valve, but what else can you do with this pack that you can’t do with others? We think this hydration pack is a great tool for any prepper, survivalist, biker, hiker, camper, or anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors. Dishwasher Safe
You just flip the bladder inside out and throw it in the dishwasher. This makes it easy to keep your hydration pack clean and your water healthy. Especially if you’re using the optional filter. More on that later.

You can easily and safely clean wounds with your Gergerrig. Obviously, it won’t sanitize the wound, but a little running water over a dirty cut can really help out when you’re in a pinch.
