This is true. Recall when the four characters were walking thru the poppy field and became sleepy. The poppy field signified heroin, which comes from opium poppies. The snow falling was an indicator of opium and heroin, and it made the group fall asleep.

There are also many other clues to be found in that story, as when they must "follow the yellow brick road". This signified gold as money, which was taken away on June 6, 1933 when the gold standard was abrogated. ;)

So many amongst us say that we would like to be free and all the while we comply with the oppressors and contribute to their cause.
