Ron Paul: Hillary Would Be 'Mediocre' President

Monday, 20 Oct 2014 02:38 PM

By Sandy Fitzgerald

Hillary Clinton would just be a "mediocre" president who would bring about very little change, if she gets elected, outspoken three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul said in a recent interview.

"I would think she'd be pretty average, pretty mediocre, pretty much for war, pretty much for welfare-ism, pretty much for deficits, pretty supportive of the Federal Reserve and loving the military-industrial complex," Paul told "PolitcKING" host Larry King during the veteran talk show host's Ora.tv's show, reports Politico.

Story continues below video.

Paul, a former Texas congressman and libertarian hero, still has a large following for his positions against U.S. military entanglements, especially in the Middle East, and against the Federal Reserve, which he calls unconstitutional.

Meanwhile, Clinton is often criticized for being "hawkish," especially when she was the secretary of state under the first term of President Barack Obama.

Clinton is similar to other recent White House inhabitants, said Paul, so he doesn't "think she would provide any change whatsoever in a political sense."

However, he believes that Clinton would still be a strong candidate, and the "media will love her," agreeing with polls that put the former first lady as a frontrunner for the 2016 Democratic nomination, if she decides to seek it. Both Clinton and Paul sought their parties' nominations in 2008.

This time around, Paul's son, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul is considering a bid for 2016, but he said he's not strongly encouraging his son to run.

"I have mixed feelings about it because I know what is entailed and how much punishment he gets — it always annoys me he has to suffer some of the consequences because of something I said or did," said the elder Paul. However, the does believe his son "has a good message."

If the previous 5 or 6 Presidents are any indication ... she would be worse than even Obola, as that's the trend ... they always get worse.
