Mother Claims Her Neighbor Shot Her Son in “Cold Blood” – Police Confirm That’s Not Even Close to the Truth

Chris Bane has an 11-year-old son. And after having to endure a series of home invasions, Bane knew had to do something to help protect him. So he did what any sensible American would do. He went and purchased a handgun for self-protection.

That’s why when Bane heard the sound of glass breaking, he grabbed his gun and walked out into the hallway.

To protect his son.

A moment later he saw Calvin Yoder. He recognized Yoder because he was both a neighbor and acquaintance. But it was obvious Yoder was doing more than just stopping in to grab a cup of sugar.

He was committing a crime.

When Yoder saw Bane holding a gun, he fired at him. Bane returned fire, striking Yoder — stopping him with a deadly shot.

The police arrived on the scene and here’s what they had to say about the incident.

‘The burglar fired a shot and the homeowner returned fire, striking and killing the intruder,’ Wendy Rose, a spokesperson for the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, told a local Fox affiliate.

‘Apparently the homeowner has been the victim of burglary recently so he was on alert, he was on edge, and as soon as he heard glass breaking he armed himself to protect himself and his 11-year-old child who was in the home.’

Pretty cut and dry, or so it would seem.

The complication is since Bane knew Yoder, it makes things much more emotional. Calvin Yoder’s mother said, “He was a good kid, loving, caring, very laid back.” For some strange reason she thinks it’s Bane’s fault.

Bane is grief-stricken about the incident.

His pastor relayed to a local ABC affiliate that he’s been devastated by the shooting.

“He is torn up and really wants to convey to the victim’s family how sorry he is about what happened, but felt like he had no choice and was actually returning fire,” his pastor said.

According to his mother, Yoder and his brother Leon were just going to Bane’s house to hang out.

Seems a bit odd to break into a person’s home to hang out at 5:40 in the morning, don’t you think?

No charges have been made against Bane.

One of the things about returning fire in self defense is you’re only as good as the ammo you’ve got.

If you’re ever in a situation where you require more ammo than you’ve got, well, you’re up the creek so to speak. That’s why you need to discover how you can get more ammo than you know what to do with.

Assuming it is the same Calvin Yoder--and how many of them could there be?--he might not have been the angel his mama wants everyone to believe he was.

Haven't you heard, "They're all good boys."

Many of whom are good, and dead.

“He was a good kid, loving, caring, very laid back.”

Now he's even more laid back.

Many of whom are good, and dead.

There's a of of them like that in Chicago, good and dead. My sister says it is all from gangs and drug deals.

That dumb ass Police Chief up there is offering a #100 bounty on firearms. As long as it is a working gun, you get the money, no questions asked. Good way to get the criminal guns off the street.

Notice I did not put in the apostrophe "s" since I did not mean that. It is the guns that are the criminals since they have been used in criminal acts. ;)

And what better way to hang out than with the gun he brought with him when he broke into his friend's house?
