Gun Owners Exercise Their Last Challenge to Draconian New Bay Area Law 201 Comments
Gun owners in Sunnyvale, California, supported by the NRA, are presenting their case today to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. They hope to invalidate a Sunnyvale law approved by the voters in 2013, prohibiting possession of magazines that can hold more than ten rounds of ammo. A San Jose judge upheld the law earlier in the year, and the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to put the law on hold during the appeal process.
Nearby cities, including San Francisco, Mountain View, and Los Angeles are instituting similar initiatives. The 9th Circuit court rules over nine western states.
