INDIANAPOLIS - The man accused of killing 15-year-old Dominique Allen has a criminal record dating back decades, and which includes at least one previous murder charge, according to court documents. RTV6 has learned 46-year-old William Gholston has been arrested 35 times dating back to an arrest at age 15 for molestation. Court documents show offenses ranging from traffic infractions to murder charges.

In 2002, Gholston was charged in the death of Sandra Clark Hobbs, who was found murdered on the south side of Indianapolis.
In 2004, a jury found Gholston not guilty of murdering Hobbs. In that same year, he was arrested again after stabbing a woman on charges of criminal deviate conduct and aggravated battery.
Those charges were later dismissed.
In 2006, he pleaded guilty to battery and served jail time.
Also in 2006, Gholston was arrested for being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm. He reached a plea agreement and served six years of a 10-year sentence in state prison.
He was released on parole in 2012, when he was arrested again and jailed for theft.
Gholston's most recent arrest came Nov. 10 of this year, when he was picked up on a warrant for parole violation in Bluffton, Indiana.
