Those were scarey days.
Lost lot of friends that way.
Out of 75 crews we had two blacks.
Two.
It was NOT racism.

No black B-17 crewman in Europe, nor over the Pacific Theater of operations.
General Curtis LeMay pulled off the hat trick of the whole war when he sent the B-29's over Japan at night and at low altitude.
