I do not seek the position as a moderator for Liberty Post (LP). However, I will be duty bound to graciously give of my valuable time and expertise to assist in leading LP into the future if I am drafted to be a moderator.

Serving in the leadership role of moderator would allow me to give something back to Liberty Post in return for what LP has given to me during the past 10 glorious and wonderful years I have spent here.

It will be a great responsibility to become connected to the organizational structure in a strong way, to provide positive input and shape future directions.

It would be a categorical imperative for me to improve our forum and strive to give a better future to those presently among us and those coming to join us.

I would work diligently to translate the honed skills I possess for the need to excel LP into a new era.

Because of your alert, I must now begin work on my platform, in case I am drafted to the position of LP moderator.

I will however ask assistance to write my acceptance post because I will be so torn up with overflowing emotion if I am named as a moderator, that it will be impossible for me to put my collective thoughts and proud humble feelings into words. May I count on you for this?

Your humble servant,
Gatlin

I triple-dog-dare misterwhite to write it.

I would be deeply honored to receive a prestigious composition from Mister White. He does have a great talent for the effective and stylish use of words. He chooses his words carefully so that his exquisite vocabulary never offends anyone. He does not speak crudely when not meaning to.

Mister White is definitely a person who knows what to say and how to say it to get the point across. I have no doubt that his ability to express thoughts and feelings will properly articulate the great moment of my acceptance and be highly received by all. It will provide me with encouragement for future success in my new career as a moderator. Perhaps we can indulge on Mister White to post his final draft on open forum for review.

This is sarcasm, right? Biggest load of horse $#it I have seen lately.

They don't have many people to choose from to be mods. It looks like less than 10 people post there on a regular basis. What a shame Goldi-Lox destroyed what was once a very busy website with hundreds of users and hundreds of articles a day.

I find it amusing that a couple of hardcore statists may take over mod functions. It's a fitting end for LP. It's not surprising to me that Gatlin and Goldi were friendly. She gave up being a small government conservative years ago. When you drive away patriotic Americans all you are left with are partisan leftwing Republicans and Democrats pretending to be conservatives.

Calling Ron Paul an isolationist is like calling your neighbor a hermit because he doesn't come over and break your window - unknown

I WITHDRAW MY CONSENT!
Any perceived compliance with unconstitutional “laws” or orders put forth by government employees is NOT recognition of their authority; it is simply the result of carefully calculated submission to an entity exhibiting superior firepower.

I suspect you are correct.

If that crew takes over, it will go down the drain fast, because most will leave, and there will be few new posters joining.

And they want to bring back youclown, and the mall guard.

It will just be a few on there having a daily circle jerk, high fiveing each other.

If sysadmn lets them take it over, I don't think he realizes what is going to happen to the site.

Real shame, use to be a very good forum.

As I recall, I spent the vast majority of my time there just naively trying to settle arguments / dispense justice. I guess another word for moderating. Spent so much time defending everyone else´s free speech I hardly had time to express my own.

If I were to take the place back, First rule would be, if you post crap, you are gone. And I define what crap is. But again, I´ve no inclination to do so. I need to cut down on my on-line time, really. In fact I really admired B-Chan´s recent opus over there. So much I can relate to in it.

What was absolutely impossible to have missed was Goldi's desire to see America attack Iraq. Her feelings were so strong in fact that she imported (my opinion) CaLoL, and other neocon swine, to help buttress her position. If there is a god I hope He called her out on her blood lust.

I think Cal was banned from FR. I remember one striking conversation with her, I guess by email, where she told me Iraq would be invaded, that it was a done deal. And this was before Congress had endorsed the idea, maybe before they even started (to pretend) to debate it. She apparently had inside info.

I remember lamenting that possibility back to her, but she was apparently quite pleased at the concept of waging war and, in patriotic fashion, showing off America´s military might against several million economically sanctioned men, women and children.

I warned him publicly at least twice, and by email NOT to post anything that was in Arabic, or linked to an Arabic language site . . .

Ah, yes. That has a familiar ring to it.

It seems that it wasn't until I was in my teens that I began to realize that a certain sector of our society was privileged above all others to hang their toxic social & political animosities out with the wash for all to see.
