About the Oscars. Watching people go completely over the top to congratulate and heap praise on themselves/one another, while simultaneously preaching left-wing politics from their pulpits, all the while being completely out of touch with mainstream society, comes across as condescending and is a complete put-off to me. But the worst part is people eat it up like the fast food garbage it is. We have a society of ignorant people that get their news from TMZ and are more concerned about what Bruce Jenner is doing than what our leaders are doing.
