Curious site - thanks.

I remember looking up Love Is Blue before. I don't usually listen to music like that, so I was interested in who wrote and performed it. I was curious if it was written for a movie, it has that vibe. Wouldn't work on Broadway, or as even a showtune in a move. No, it had to be a theme song. Here comes the research part. It was a song written for a 1960's European radio type Who Wants To Be A Composer type contest. Without google and wiki I could have lost money betting it was a movie theme song.

Interesting.

Instrumentals were once very popular, with Love is Blue perhaps the last such type I recall becoming a hit.

Happy birthday bud. May you have many more and each better than the last.

Well, happy belated birthday, fellow HoosierHick! Marla's birthday is coming up Sunday. Got her a card & a box of chocolates. Probably cook her a special dinner unless she wants to go out, but my cooking is better.
