Watch this Concealed Carry Holder Stop a Crime in Progress

31 Comments Smyrna

A Georgia man just put his concealed carry permit to good use, preventing a carjacking and quite possibly saving a woman’s life.

The terrifying footage was captured in surveillance video at the Fast Track Car Wash in Smyrna. A teen assailant tried to steal a woman’s car. In an attempt to stop him, she scrambled onto the hood, and he responded by accelerating.

A city employee was passing by and saw the crime in progress. He drew his weapon and shot the thief in the shoulder.

According to witness Chris Roberts:

The guy that got shot, he was falling out of the car and he was holding his chest. And he started shivering and shaking, and then he kind of flopped on the ground.

The carjacker was transported to the hospital. He is being charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor theft by taking of a motor vehicle.

Watch the video footage, above.

How is stealing a vehicle only a misdemeanor?

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken
