If you have HGTV on the tellie, please check out Fixer-Upper based in Waco TX; they're also on www.hgtv.com - such amazingly cheap prices for wonderful properties there.
Austin is now the highest-priced city to own or rent, and 110 people/day are reportedly moving here - why? I don't know.
The traffic and everything else is just insane.

Sounds like the next suburban sprawl mecca.
After a taste of living rurally I can never go back to mainstream suburbia much less anything close to urban.

BBQue is really the state food of Texas - not stupid chili, although I love it also. You just don't eat chili year-round.
