One would have to imagine that the "Jews" were/are aware that they will become targets at some point and surely have enlisted others to shield them from attack.
I think the Pharisees were the neo-cons of their day and Pilate was their government lackey just like politicians today in America.
The only thing that changes are Jew noses and names !

Normally it takes a non-Jue to finger Jue criminality, so it is indeed news when one of their own (on whom they no doubt bragged like hell till he saw the light) starts naming the Jue as worldwide blight.
