VeteransToday targets the conspiracy crowd. Some of the content is syndicated from Russian and Iranian news sources. However, these are sources that routinely run fake content themselves. The owner of Veterans Today confessed that “40% of the content” is fake.

The following are FAKE websites that troll conservatives

Do not share National Report headlines on Facebook. They are 100% fake stories.

The following are fake websites. The purpose of these websites are to make money. They create fake headlines that people want to believe. This prompts readers to share the headlines on Facebook. Often these sites get tens of thousands of Facebook shares for their fake articles. This generates ad revenue for the site.

The following fake news site either prey of conservatives specifically or at least tend run headlines that conservatives would like to believe are true. Some of these site generate massive amounts of traffic due to viral Facebook sharing. The owners are laughing all the way to the bank.

DailyCurrant.com (100% fake political stories)

NationalReport.net (100% fake political stories)

WorldNewsDailyReport.com (100% fake archaeology news)

TribuneHerald.net (100% fake news)

AmericanNews.com (Articles are half fake. Takes real stories and adds a fake twist.)

VeteransToday.com (Dubious sources and fake twists.)

Celebtricity.com (100% fake celebrity news)

The site NationalReport.net seems to be actively trying to embarrass conservative on social media. People think it is a mainline conservative/TEA Party site because they have a picture of Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz in their top banner. When a conservative website falls for one of their hoaxes and syndicates the story, left-wing website then mock them. NationalReport.net has become a source of entertainment for the left.

Someone with a career in conservative media has told this webmaster that NationalPost.net received start-up funding from a Soros Group. I am investigating the claim.

Veterans Today is a fake news website

veteranstodayWe are posting this because we sometimes get e-mails or comments linking to VeteransToday.com

VeteransToday.com has a sizable following, as many fake websites do. VeteransToday routinely re-prints articles from Pravda, a former Soviet owned mouthpiece, and the Iranian PressTV. Both Pravda and PressTV print so much fake news that they can not be taken seriously.

The owner of VeteransToday.com openly admits that a large portion of the website are fake stories or real stories with fake elements. The worst part about VeteransToday is they use the motto “turn off the fake news.” When questioned about fake articles, Senior Editor Gordon Duff has an outlandish excuse. He says he has to publish fake articles or the government would kill him for his real ones.

There is a growing problem with fake news sites that prey on the right-wing. The most notorious is NationalPost.net, which is being run to embarrass conservatives. Someone with a career in conservative media has told this webmaster that NationalPost.net received start-up funding from a Soros Group. I am investigating the claim.

Other sites like AmericanNews.com are “click bait.” They take real stories and add a fake picture or fake element. The purpose of “click bait” sites is to get viral social media sharing and then profit off of advertising. When you share a story on social media, check the source. Do not contribute to the viral sharing of these sites. Tell the person that it is a fake site.

ROFLMAO

Might be true, but nearly 100% of "facts" of The Holocaust© story originated from behind the Iron Curtain. And back in the day when we knew much if not most of close to all info coming from there to be lies.

Now, today, with the internet in place to validate or conversely invalidate things, all of a sudden Russian information cannot be trusted.

Oh, this just doesn't get any funnier. In a sick way of course.

Silencing Dissent in Russia: Putin’s Propaganda Machine (Full Length)

Published on Apr 29, 2015

Despite sanctions, a plummeting economy, and isolation from the world as a result of its actions in Ukraine, a wave of patriotic fervor is spreading across Russia. Thousands of Russians have attended rallies in support of President Vladimir Putin, whose popularity ratings remain sky-high, while voices of the opposition are increasingly stifled.

On the streets and in the media, the Kremlin has tightened its grip on power. State-controlled television channels spin facts to bolster the government line, whipping up anti-Western sentiment and paranoia about internal enemies. Independent broadcasters are struggling to make themselves heard as the country grows more dangerous for journalists and popular figures who are critical of the authorities.

VICE News traveled to Moscow to find out how the Russian government has suppressed dissent and fostered fear among Putin’s critics.
