Buy low?

This is incredibly interesting.

Curious what it means.

I'm wondering if there's ever going to be a sizeable challenge to the Zios before they take the entire ship down with them into hell, or if we're all just going down for the ride w/o any fuss.

I wish that I had the time and money to go to Europe now for a vacation.

Just a thought -- since Paypal is such a tidy little "multi-currency account" in effect, maybe you could use it somehow.

Or write some European Ebay seller and ask if they'd be willing to mail you some for your digital Paypal dollars?

Just negotiate in cash with some local European person? If they don't have any Euros they know where to get them.

Would major banks in big cities have some on hand?

from USA Today -

You can buy Euros from a bank in the United States. Depending on the bank, whether or not you are an account holder and the delivery method, you will pay different fees. Some banks provide free Euro-purchasing services if you pick the money up but charge if you have it shipped to your home or office.

Thanks, I also learned that AAA sells them too, with even lower fees than the bank, supposedly. In december 2014 euros were selling at bofa for $1.29 each (including 5 cent fee.)

Last nite the rate was one euro for $1.01 dollar, now its $1.10.

I'd wait before you buy Euros. Should Greece leave the EU, and return to the drachma, the Euro will flop around the deck like a boated flounder for a time.
