You can buy Euros from a bank in the United States. Depending on the bank, whether or not you are an account holder and the delivery method, you will pay different fees. Some banks provide free Euro-purchasing services if you pick the money up but charge if you have it shipped to your home or office.

Thanks, I also learned that AAA sells them too, with even lower fees than the bank, supposedly. In december 2014 euros were selling at bofa for $1.29 each (including 5 cent fee.)

Last nite the rate was one euro for $1.01 dollar, now its $1.10.
