Trump’s Answer On What To Do about Guns Will Upset A Lot Of People
Liberals never let a tragedy go to waste.
The day after the shootings in Virginia the liberal media used the death of two innocent people to grandstand about the dangers of guns.
That’s what they do. They don’t mourn the victims, they politicize things in an instant.
And what better way to accomplish this then by interviewing politicians on their stance about gun control. CNN Chris Cuomo even tried to grill Trump and get him to admit guns are the problem and they should be harder to get.
Trump in predictable fashion fielded the question quite well, read part of his response and then watch the video below.
“Do you think it is time to do something else about guns?” Cuomo asked. “Would you do something different with gun policy?”
“I don’t think I would, because this is really a sick person,” Trump said of the WDBJ shooter. “This isn’t a gun problem, this is a mental problem.”
Trump cited the recent thwarted terror attack on a Paris-bound train where U.S. servicemen helped take down the gunman and argued they could’ve more easily defended themselves if they were armed.
“Frankly, you know, a case like this, he snuck up on them — whether it was with a gun or a knife or whatever it would’ve been, it would’ve been something,” Trump said of the WDBJ shooting. “You’re not going to get rid of all guns.”
He continued, “I know one thing: if you tried to do it, the bad guys would have them…and the good folks would abide by the law — they’d be hopeless, and it would just be a hopeless situation for them.”
Liberals like to think if guns were impossible to get from a legal standpoint that all of the sudden crimes like this would evaporate overnight.
That’s not true at all.
The only difference is the method by which people perform their gruesome acts would change.
This could have easily been done with a knife, a bat, or an improvised bomb. That’s just the truth. The human heart is wicked, and wicked people will stop at nothing to carry out their evil acts.
